DM has posted this - apparently the best way to “beat terfs” is to give DM money - seriously, what is their logic?!?

Yup!

Hah! Love this. Thanks.

D M is now talking about a lawsuit, claiming that the handcuffs caused damage to the side of Moscato's left hand, which is necessary in Moscato's work as a chef.

This is the first time I have heard D M described as a "chef" and there is no mention of this profession on Moscato's web site.

I wish we could edit.

Now that I am reading about the rumble strips, he probably was pulled over for suspected DUI and was visibly inebriated and also either had a bunch of baggies with meth or had the meth chems in the car at the time (thus the manufacture with intent). However it works, I truly hope the cops did everything by the book and this individual is put somewhere where he can possibly get help for his illness and addictions, as his current crop of enablers is doing him no favors.

Helleofabore · 17/06/2021 19:47

Those rumble strips seem massive. I would imagine no alert and responsive driver would drive on them at all.

Maybe they are only big in the pic. But if they are as depicted, I would be pulling the driver over to check why too.

ScreamingMeMe · 17/06/2021 19:40

Interesting. Thanks Alice.

Alicethruthelookingglass · 17/06/2021 19:05

My knowledge of meth is limited to Breaking Bad. I suppose if a chemistry teacher can become a terrifying drug lord then an, "activist" could too

I never watched Breaking Bad, I think it's because I've known people who got caught up in meth and I hated it being glamorized as a plot for a series. "Faces of Meth" is more like reality if anyone wants a peek.

After seeing the charges my theory based on tweeker behavior and they way things often occur here is that: DM went to Walmart and bought a bunch of chems for meth. See, nowadays they have ways of just shaking it up in a bottle and the police track purchases of these items. Either they tracked the purchases to the ID, or they followed DM from the store. It happens. I'm guessing he either had some on him or was observed shaking up a batch and they busted DM. /end theory

Meth also makes you paranoid. I've seen chronic users stare at empty cars and say that there are people inside watching them. So DM is not going to think 'fair cop, they saw me buy meth ingredients they track', DM's going to think they are targetting DM. Meth is also notorious for violence, mood swings and greatly exacerbating pre exisiting psychotic symptoms, which is why I don't cry when I see one of them taken out of circulation for a few.

Meth has torn apart parts of the midwest as badly as oxycodone has.

Here.

I smell porky pies.

@Helleofabore

My comment about appearance is that unless there was something on their car that hinted that this person was trans, how would the police making the stop know that they were. Hence, how would police actually ‘target’ this person???

It is such a flimsy defence. Or… were they pulled up and they feel they were then subject to a search of their vehicle once police realized they were trans. I would see how that could possibly be argued if the police were shown not to search every car they pulled up… otherwise it is a ludicrous assertion.

Danielle has tweetee that they went over the white lines "for a few seconds". I suspect that means they were driving erratically.
Paralithic · 17/06/2021 18:05

They’ve Tweeted that they were initially pulled over for their BLM t-shirt, and then the police clocked that they’re trans from their driving licence. Because you certainly wouldn’t know it from their presentation.

Re appearance, I think comments are less about 'prettiness' or lack thereof and more about the beard and male-pattern baldness.

NecessaryScene · 17/06/2021 14:16

I don't think the focus on Muscato's looks is necessarily about body-shaming; it just exposes the warped, debasing batshittery of those who claim not using female pronouns for Muscato is hatred and violence. A receptionist or shop assistant could be disciplined for failing to instantly recognise Muscato as a woman. It's a totalitarian power-trip.

This.

Just noticed that this thread doesn't have a link to Magdalen's "This is what a woman looks like" video featuring Danielle, and another transwoman who is a bit taken aback by Danielle's lack of transition progress.

@CardinalLolzy

Is that picture upthread of DM cosying up to a Tori? #jokes
It is indeed!
OvaHere · 17/06/2021 14:09

A handy reminder of how Danielle likes to express their dysphoria.

It's the first I've heard of it anyway.

Amd exactly Marciadidia.

CardinalLolzy · 17/06/2021 13:59

@MarciaDidia

DM is saying that she was targeted for being trans. PP are showing the dissonance by commenting that there is no way to tell DM is trans (and therefore target her for being trans) unless she was wearing a wig/dress etc. While many agree that wearing a wig/dress/make-up, or having any particular look, don't make you a woman, it is fair to say that these markers might have given officers a hint that DM is trans. Without them, DM would clearly be read as male. This is highlighting a problem with the ideology, not commenting on DM's looks or what "looking like a woman" ought to be if you are a natal woman.
I always thought that everyone who says they believe TWAW would know that gender is an invisible feeling and no-one can tell anyone's gender using 'conventional' signifiers and it's only by asking that you'd know. That's why I'm surprised that so many people buy into it! But it seems only half the message has gotten across.

Clearly no-one would know DM, or anyone, is trans or cis unless they asked (which is a problematic in itself) or DM declared it or was somehow recognisable.

(My post was really aimed at the 'my eyes!' type remarks).

ScreamingMeMe · 17/06/2021 13:59

A diagnosed gender dysphoric whose gender identity (what they feel like) does not match their gender expression (what they look like).

Danielle is formally diagnosed and I will refer to them as female for the benefit of their mental health if that is what she needs.

Is this known for a fact?

Having a mental health condition doesn't change someone's sex. Eating disorders are a mental health condition but nobody is rewriting reality for the entire of society around those unfortunate people.

Its the logic of those donating im concerned about

old comment on this thread about a different request for money, but worth reviving. Who's giving money to this person's crowdfunder? I'm genuinely fascinated.

How is this unprepossessing apparent-methhead doing it? How are they getting photo-ops with JJ (yes I know JJ is an idiot but still!) How are they persuading anyone to give them $1000 (the largest donation) for their bail fund on multiple drug charges?

What is happening here? I think a lot of TRAs weaponise cognitive dissonance among well-meaning libfems - has DM found a way to exploit it to the max?

AlfonsoTheMango · 17/06/2021 13:01

Edit: but under "Personal information: Gender: Female". How are two sets of details reconciled?

AlfonsoTheMango · 17/06/2021 12:59

Unless the booking sheet I saw has been photoshopped, Wilson County Sheriff's Department lists Moscato's personal details as "race / sex: W / M".
