A woman was thrown out of a FB feminist group for challenging the idea that transwomen get periods.

apparently they DO get periods just without the small aspect of bleeding.

She was told that she was minimising transwomen's periods.

Disappointment again!

FairfaxAikman · 26/04/2018 09:40

@AngryAttackKittens I've tried it. It's minging. Would rather have a nice manly Yorkie tbh.

Datun · 26/04/2018 09:38

I remember the Pink Chocolate of Yore.

The pink panther brand.

A wiley male panther, all in pink. How nonconforming of him. Serendipity!

Unless...? He was male, wasn't he?

He didn't speak, though, did he?

Worried now that it was mass unconscious bias that made him male.

Also I'm very suspicious of the word "zesty". Never had anything that described itself as zesty that didn't taste like disappointment.

Rufustheconstantreindeer · 26/04/2018 09:31

Good plan angry

Someone in FWR has tried it i think...may have been on the pub thread

AngryAttackKittens · 26/04/2018 09:29

Never had Hotel chocolate, but that one above looks a bit plasticky.

This is the pink chocolate I mean btw. Maybe if anyone has tried it we can talk about that instead of tea next time our late night friend who works in finance turns up, or someone similar.

This discussion seems increasingly ludicrous. What's it all about. Can't we be straightforward. Men are non-gestational and lack a uterus. Menstruation involves the passing of uterine blood. Enough said on that.

Rufustheconstantreindeer · 26/04/2018 09:25

Are you dissing hotel chocolate

'We’ve whipped tangy real raspberry with opulent white chocolate, then piped pools of it into creamy milk chocolate to create this smooth yet zesty Slab. A sprinkling of cocoa biscuits and real raspberry pieces finishes it with nibbly, satisfying texture. Exuberantly moreish!'

Its real raspberry!!

I dont like raspberry

AngryAttackKittens · 26/04/2018 09:23

No this isn't food coloring, apparently the beans are pink and it has sort of a berry undertone to the flavor.

AngryAttackKittens · 26/04/2018 09:22

This is why DH lets me steal the best ones from boxes of chocolate, he knows that I need it more than he does.

Rufustheconstantreindeer · 26/04/2018 09:22

Have...not has

Rufustheconstantreindeer · 26/04/2018 09:22

Hotel chocolat has done pink chocolate for ages

Rufustheconstantreindeer · 26/04/2018 09:21

Oooh i did nit think of it that way positively nice one

I had more that i biologically (as apparently that word means whatever i want it to now) HAVE to eat chocolate and deal with the subsequent weight gain

Whereas DH doesn't

AngryAttackKittens · 26/04/2018 09:19

Ah, the sacrifices we make for the movement...

(Still not trying the pink chocolate until it's available in non-KitKat form though.)

PositivelyPERF · 26/04/2018 09:17

I think chocolate is sexist

That must be why I eat so much of it. Trying to be a one woman army, destroying the sexism bite by bite. 😋 Irs difficult, but I’ll continue doing it, just for feminism. holds head up proudly while beating chest

AngryAttackKittens · 26/04/2018 09:16

Well there is that new pink chocolate that I haven't tried yet...

Rufustheconstantreindeer · 26/04/2018 09:14

I think chocolate is sexist

PositivelyPERF · 26/04/2018 09:12

Women are transphobic because they are women! FACT!

AngryAttackKittens · 26/04/2018 09:08

Kittens, sunshine, and chocolate are also transphobic.

(Watch me get told off again for not going high enough.)

Rufustheconstantreindeer · 26/04/2018 09:07

Dont yell at me it was a joke (ish)

Rufustheconstantreindeer · 26/04/2018 09:07

Science is transphobic

Fact

AngryAttackKittens · 26/04/2018 09:06

Someone on the IW thread said that her teenager thinks that people can get a chromosome transplant.

Maybe instead of teaching kids about gender at school we should teach them science? Just a thought.

LangCleg · 26/04/2018 09:03

Well, is there room or space to talk about the limits of "transition" then?

Rufustheconstantreindeer · 26/04/2018 08:58

angry

Trouble with that is i think that some people might believe that transwomen have a uterus as part of the transitioning

As they are now 'women'

Floisme · 26/04/2018 08:57

I'm always careful what I say on here, not because of TRAs but because of lurkers. I don't mind that.

However I cannot talk about men having periods and keep a straight face. Nor do I think I should. There are some occasions where I think ridicule is the only way.
