This trans forum has a long thread on Mumsnet. Seems they are actively lobbying companies to pull out advertising on Mn on the grounds of Mn allowing/supporting/encouraging hate and transphobia. After having a quck look, the Angels site seems to spout it’s on views on “terfs” which sound pretty hateful, possibly even misogynistic. I know both sides if the debate can go over the top and get pretty nasty - but, am i wrong to find many pisters there completely hypocritical in targetting Mn for the kind of comments and rhetoric similar to which they are accusing Mn of, not only accusing but trying to damage the site with haranguing the sites advertisers to pull out.

We have no hidden or members section here, all we say is visible to anyone who wants to look. Angels does have a private members area, so we can only guess what's discussed in there.

I've got no problem with people being on both forums, but I have a huge problem with anyone who is bullshitting us here and not discussing in good faith.

LangCleg · 23/04/2018 20:17

Some people who participate on that forum and this one have posted screen caps there of what we say here.

I'm afraid so. Salutary lesson about playing both sides against the middle.

Just read the other thread im so sad for jayceedove. I didn't read the Angel forum because I don't wanna see them bully her. She must be in her 60s (said in her post she was brought up in the 1950s) she transitioned ages ago. Wheres the respect for this person who has lived a good life hurting no one.

ArcheryAnnie · 23/04/2018 20:09

I had a look and it's like Mirror Universe over there. There's a thread on Tara Wolf attacking Maria Mac, where Maria is (of course) painted as the "aggressor", and all the posters seem to think that the court case paints "terfs" in a really bad light. It's just extraordinary.

And as for harrassing JayceeDove - that's just horrible, I didn't see that before. It's a bloody cult, and unless you keep in line exactly, out you go.

spontaneousgiventime · 23/04/2018 20:04

thebewilderness Well lets face it, if they can threaten to out one of their own, doing stuff to us is almost a given.

thebewilderness · 23/04/2018 20:00

The women under threat of doxxing and/or assault and/or losing their jobs care.

spontaneousgiventime · 23/04/2018 19:55

ReluctantCamper Quite! We're hardly hiding on the dark web.

spontaneousgiventime · 23/04/2018 19:54

On the thread link above NotTerf

ReluctantCamper · 23/04/2018 19:53

meh. This is a public forum. If their idea of a good time is taking screenshots of another forum they can knock themselves out. Really, who cares?

NotTerfNorCis · 23/04/2018 19:52

Can you link to the thread on Angels?

spontaneousgiventime · 23/04/2018 19:51

thebewilderness If you read the link I posted, they bullied JayceeDove from that forum last night. All because she posted here. I agree, well, I suspect some from there may well be behind the tolling/screenshots.

thebewilderness · 23/04/2018 19:48

That has contributed to the targeting of MN by that forums participants and an influx of trolls to this forum.

spontaneousgiventime · 23/04/2018 19:44

It's all stereotypes, flouncy dresses, high heels and make-up. I own all of those things, can't remember when I last wore/used them. I don't have time. It really is a horrible place, misogyny central.

SwearyGodPervert · 23/04/2018 19:40

I wonder if we’d be getting so much shit if we were parentsnet. Doubt it. It’s the triple whammy of a female space, women having their own thoughts and opinions, and disagreeing with the trans mafia.

The language that is used on there about women is so dehumanising. Horrible place.

Ardant · 23/04/2018 19:23

It's interesting that Mumsnet is being targeted so much.

Maybe it shows that it's actually having an impact - women talking this stuff through, and empowering each other to question things and not just accept everything blindly.
