If I just heard correctly, MY said that she's meeting JC tomorrow? Friday April 20th? Can anyone who was at the Bristol meeting confirm?

Is this meeting specifically about Miranda’s recent problems with Labour?

Anyway, Miranda seems a good, safe pair of hands so I look forward to hearing more.

Is this what consulting with women looks like Mr Corbyn? Check your implicit bias mate your misogyny is showing.

HopScotchy · 20/04/2018 00:21

Yes. The problem is that Labour are still insisting this is only about trans views and nothing to do with women. And this despite the fact the issue is about how the law defines sex not gender.

DarthArts · 20/04/2018 00:18

Good luck MY.

I'm done with Labour regardless.

qumquat · 20/04/2018 00:16

The issue isn't that Miranda is representing women. It's that JC has refused to meet with any gender critical women but is prepared to meet with a gender critical transwomen. It's fantastic that they're meeting nevertheless.

HopScotchy · 20/04/2018 00:13

Trousersdontmakeaman - I know he isn't. I'm happy the meeting is happening. I'm not happy no one is listening to women still.

Waddlelikeapenguin · 20/04/2018 00:10

I worry Miranda may be bruised from all the head banging against wall.. but still fantastic Star

Trousersdontmakemeaman · 19/04/2018 23:28

Miranda is talking about the reality of how trans people are behaving. He is not representing women nor is he claiming to.

auntycartmanslargertesticle · 19/04/2018 23:25

He promised to meet with Linda Bellos on tv. Nothings happened about that as far as I know.

UrsulaPandress · 19/04/2018 23:23

Way to go Miranda. I know you will do you best for us Wimmin.

But why not a woman?

FloraFox · 19/04/2018 23:20

YY to Hop

AornisHades · 19/04/2018 23:19

Hope he listens to MY. Good luck :)

HopScotchy · 19/04/2018 23:13

Miranda is one voice with the women opposing self ID so that's good. BUT it is a problem that women are being ignored and get no meeting whilst a transwoman gets an audience (again). Why is that? Why are women themselves not able to speak directly? We rely instead on (fantastic) transwomen like Miranda to get a foot in the door. What happens if there are no Mirandas?

Trousersdontmakemeaman · 19/04/2018 22:53

JC will say, someone showed him a picture of some people and he just thought it was a picture of some women.

ICJump · 19/04/2018 22:49

Go Miranda!

MacaroonMama · 19/04/2018 22:47

Go Miranda!!!

terfing · 19/04/2018 22:46

JC won't give a shit- he's never cared about the rights of women

This relates to the attacks on Miranda going back a few weeks, all set out on Miranda's twitter and website and in the Times - look at Miranda Yardley.com

LineyHasntLeftTheBuilding · 19/04/2018 22:21

Oh, that's interesting. In what context?

Hope it's a bracing exchange of views.
