I'm not sure if anyone has already posted about this, but according to gendertrender, a transactivist from Sisters Uncut is under investigation for assaulting a woman for attending a meeting on the GRA. I remember hearing about the incident at the time but wasn't aware of any further action.

"Wasn't she also the same woman at the Edinburgh meeting who was shouting at Miranda and calling him a TERF?"

Yes she was! She seems to be everywhere Tara goes. I just can't believe someone so highly educated has been taken in by these thugs. What must her parents think?

qumquat · 17/04/2018 21:12

I can't see it either on my Vodafone phone.

Artemis I would contact the police with what you know.

Melamin · 17/04/2018 18:02

The article below that is very enlightening too.

HairyBallTheorem · 17/04/2018 17:55

Artemis sorry didn't mean to be so snippy. It's so difficult to judge tone on here, and I thought you were seriously suggesting naming the individual.

SarahAr · 17/04/2018 17:30

@ArtemisRhodes if you know who this woman is then report it to the police.

Given there are probably on going criminal proceedings, don't go public with it. It could be contempt of court and result in a mistrial.

TreesAgreen · 17/04/2018 17:17

Just to let you know, I couldn't access the link in the OP but could the other links posted, I'm on EE.

I switched to my home broadband sky, and could access the first link.

MorbidMuch · 17/04/2018 17:08

I can access the second link, but not the first or third. I'm using O2 data on my mobile. Will be interesting to see if it will open via the WiFi at home.

TERFragetteCity · 17/04/2018 17:02

Wasn't she also the same woman at the Edinburgh meeting who was shouting at Miranda and calling him a TERF? She was just shouting in people's faces on the video.

Note: Miranda Yardley is happy to be called a him.

ArtemisRhodes · 17/04/2018 16:57

Well that is why I didn't. I am just saying, I know.

Trumpdump · 17/04/2018 13:43

@ArtemisRhodes please don't. We are very much against doxxing on these boards.

HairyBallTheorem · 17/04/2018 13:42

TGLWGH, Artemis

(a) It is morally wrong to doxx people whether you agree with their views or not. Pursuing people who've committed crimes is what the police and courts are there for (and court reporters working for the press are there to report on), to carry out in a fair and impartial manner. Doxxing is only a short step from vigilantism and mob rule and is a bad thing!

(b) One of the favourite accusations among TRAs is that "TERFs" [sic] doxx them. To my knowledge, so far no-one on our side of the debate has actually done this, because it is wrong (see point a above). We should not start now.

ArtemisRhodes · 17/04/2018 13:32

I know who this woman is, and I know where she works.

Assume I am not allowed to reveal this on here?

cromeyellow0 · 17/04/2018 00:18

She's an XX woman, just to confound the stereotypes!

Yambabe · 16/04/2018 23:54

I think at the time she was said to be a natal woman. There was footage of the incident on either Miranda Yardley's twitter feed or Venice Allen's when it happened iirc.

HairyBallTheorem · 16/04/2018 23:49

If it is the same woman I saw on the video of the picket line, then I'm fairly confident she's the former, Trumpdump.

Trumpdump · 16/04/2018 23:47

I don't want to be rude, but is she a natal or trans woman?

HairyBallTheorem · 16/04/2018 23:42

Hooray, I can access your latest link, Cromey.

The woman in the photo looks like the woman who was shouting abuse at the trade-unionist on the picket line - is that the incident being referred to, or is there yet another incident?

Winewinewinegin · 16/04/2018 23:41

Checked on friend's phone - can access on their wifi but not on O2 phone data

sapphireflower · 16/04/2018 23:33

Wow, how did they manage to find the name and photo's and facebook profile of the assailant - that's some super sleuthing going on. No woman has ever attacked me or threatened violence, I stand with women on this. People should be able to meet and talk without threats of violence. Flowers

Glas she was OK and not seriously hurt.

SpringNowPlease2018 · 16/04/2018 23:31

I can never access this
I thought there must be a problem with the certificate....hmm....

thebewilderness · 16/04/2018 23:27

Far as I know there has been no charge leveled against the person who assaulted a woman outside the talk in February. I expect there will be.

cromeyellow0 · 16/04/2018 23:16

Hmm, I'm hopefully recreating exactly the form of the link that has worked for you:
gendertrender.wordpress.com/

If that doesn't work, then O2 / Vodaphone / Sky are blocking gendertrender specifically.

Possibly there are forbidden keywords, I'm guessing "paedophile" (58 instances)?

Or (with tinfoil hat on) have transactivists got it classified as pornography or terrorism???

KreigersClones · 16/04/2018 22:07

Just accessed first fine using sky broadband

Nickynackynoodle · 16/04/2018 21:58

O2 phone using 4G. Can access the second one fine...

CircleSquareCircleSquare · 16/04/2018 21:56

Vodafone and can access the second one but not the original post.
