Thanks for the tip. busyboysmum. I have just clapped multiple times.

Since the wolf man confessed to the premeditated assault by he and his two friends there wasn't much the judge could do but hand out a light sentence and blame the victim. Which he did.

Just to let you know as well that you can clap up to 50 times to make the story really stand out.

Great article - succinct and to the point - 3 guys taking advantage of the self ID debacle - one to win by unfair advantage, one to get access to women to rape and kill (his previous MO), and one who likes assaulting women, who are then further humiliated by being told to lie in court

Great line up of exactly why Self ID in its current form is unfit for purpose - by conveniently ignoring sex and safeguarding, it's opened the doors to male predators - precisely what was predicted - by women - who of course were ignored/s

I've shared it widely as I think it really lays bare the issues for people who haven't thought deeply about this stuff before.

The trans person in question does not have a Gender Recognition Certificate, so as well as being physically male he is also legally male. There are huge questions to be asked about the ethics of instigating what could be construed as perjury.

It would be bad enough even if gender critical politics weren't close to the heart of this assault case.

Excellent piece.

The Ian Huntley issue makes me cringe. I strongly believe that we need to stick with sex when legislating, but it feels underhand somehow to bring up Huntley - he barely qualifies to identify as human.
