@LastGirlOnTheLeft @Bumblefuddle has said in earlier posts that she is going through a horrific time at the moment which involves an assault on her daughter.

You may not be aware of this but either way can we just be a bit more mature and sensitive to each other.

I really didn't want this thread to go this away again.

This is not doing the women in the Belfast trial any good so please think of her? I wanted us to keep the conversation going and see does any good come out of it

treaclesoda · 15/04/2018 22:08

I think porn has an awful lot to answer for as well. I truly believe that it has led to a much worse situation for women who are in their teens and twenties now than when I was younger.

Yes please let’s get back to the point of the thread. Not fighting with each other. We all share the same disgust at what these 4 men have done. That’s why we’re on this thread. To discuss that.

Let's all take a step back, don't turn on each other, please. It would be a crying shame if this thread had to be pulled.

I also think it's a lot to do with porn. I think it encourages some of the very worst behaviour in too many men.

peanut2017 · 15/04/2018 22:01

@buckeejit yeah they are uk cases. One was the chief of staff in parliament and apparently the prosecution only gave the defense cctv days before the trial which didn't match up to the accusers account.

Apparently she had mental health problems and had accused someone before?

I'm not in the uk so not that familiar with the case and not sure I can mention names.

Bumble, yo

LastGirlOnTheLeft · 15/04/2018 21:57

Ffs!!! I SAID men were becoming like animals and THEN I said that I was worried for my daughters because of worthless men...not that ALL men were worthless!! Just that I was worried about the ones she would meet that were worthless!!

Go back to school!!!

ZibbidooZibbidooZibbidoo · 15/04/2018 21:56

You could well be right not and I think you’re definitely within talk guidelines with that post.

ZibbidooZibbidooZibbidoo I actually thought some posts were so outrageous they might be MRAs trying to derail such a powerful conversation.

Am I allowed to say that if I don’t specifically mention a post/poster?

peanut2017 · 15/04/2018 21:54

Please can we not keep getting into arguments on here. It's not helping

@LastGirlOnTheLeft yes I do think porn has something to do with some men's expectation of what women should do for them. If you look at the likes of PornHub and all their google ads / content are about incest, threesomes, rape etc

I listened to an audible feature called The Butterfly Effect and went into detail on its business model. It's really sickening

PanGalaticGargleBlaster · 15/04/2018 21:54

I think men in general are just becoming like animals...only not as cute or lovable!! What on earth is happening to men??
I look at my two beautiful, wonderful daughters and fear for them. Because of worthless men

What a brain dead post.

This thread has become so derailed I’m not sure it should be left to stand anymore. People seem to be going out of their way to offend now.

My son is not a worthless animal either. Nor is my husband.

There is a big problem with how many men treat women, and misogyny within society. But I honestly don't think that labelling men as animals is helpful, or even fair.

buckeejit · 15/04/2018 21:50

Peanut-haven't seen that article but frustrating that this situation is repeatedly focussed on. Were they UK cases? How recently & what proof that the men were wrongly accused?
