The Met’s unit working on FGM is called ‘Project Azure’, I cant find an email address for them though, only a phone number.

The thing that makes me cross is that there haven't been any prosecutions of parents taking their children abroad for FGM, if I'm remembering rightly. But police could be coming down hard on people like this as a way of signalling to communities that action will be taken.

Why are these people not being charged with anything? They're easy targets if the accounts are traced back to individuals.

The woman whose photograph appears in this Tweet has said that she didn't give permission for it to be used and is completely against FGM. Yet despite numerous reports, it hasn't been taken down.

There have been quite a few accounts recently I've reported, twitter said the account violated their rules, but yet it stayed up. What's going on with that?

Twitter is run by sexist dirtbags. My nephew worked there for a while and this sadly does not surprise me at all. Pursuing legal options would probably be the better solution since the tech dudes mostly see no problem with this.

I've seen people sharing the tweet on twitter to try to raise awareness that twitter won't take it down. It's a disgrace!

The screenshot has the time I snapped it. The actual image of the "Reported message" in the twitter feed has no time on it. I've attached it- (again the time on surrounding area is just the time I snapped it.

The feed is also anti-semitic (opposition to FGM is a Zionist , anti- Muslim conspiracy) but I suppose anti-semitism doesn't seem to bother some people these days either.

I e-mailed NSPCC too.

I've just checked and I've had an email back from the NSPCC saying they have received my message and are investigating but that they will only contact me if they need to. That seems quite positive.

This is pertinent: You can get up to 14 years in prison for carrying out FGM or helping it to take place.

I've reported it last night. Still agree there's something about it tho.
And, afaik, FGM is really more associated with being part of some of the older African cultures, than just one 700 year old religion.

Felt like an odd emphasis for someone who's meant to be a genuine proponent.

Infuriates me that accounts like this and the horrific @/brutalmaster are left standing, while feminists are deleted.

You dont need a Twitter account to report, but you do need to supply an email address

And they don't exactly make it easy. I couldn't get any links to the tweets to copy properly so just reported the person. I mentioned the anti-semitism also.
