Apparently the Alt-Right and 4-Chan are using MN.
I think it's just one person who controls their tweets. I really hope that the top Lib Dems know what's being said.

Related! That whole season was pretty much the South Park guys having had enough of all this studenty bollocks.

LanaKanesTerfyVagina · 05/04/2018 10:39

Thanks AngryAttackKittens!

He's a bloody brilliant parody of exactly the type of Brocialist SJW that are all over this shit.

It's like suddenly letting a bunch of 15 yr olds loose in politics, giving them power with zero checks and balances, and letting them do and say whatever they want.

It's bandwagon jumping, and as I've said before, a chance for Lefty DudeBros to suddenly unleash their inner misogyny that tbh was only ever superficially under the surface anyway.

womanformallyknownaswoman · 05/04/2018 10:28

@AngryAttackKittens

Brilliant clips - I'll have to start watching South Park again. They so capture those social justice types….Principle PC Bro….it's all about getting more puss - and poor Lesley (great analogy of women getting killed by SJWs)

rowdywoman1 · 05/04/2018 10:00

@Anlaf
I had a Lib Dem canvasser yesterday. They left with a very clear explanation as to why I couldn't vote for an anti democratic party that silences and threatens women.

AngryAttackKittens · 05/04/2018 08:44

Also...

AngryAttackKittens · 05/04/2018 08:40

Here you go, Lana.

womanformallyknownaswoman · 05/04/2018 05:33

And yes scarves and humour are the best weapon against these TTs - "Twitter Toddlers" - man the necklines...

womanformallyknownaswoman · 05/04/2018 05:31

@Floisme
There's a joke in there that just needs a punchline:
'How many Lib Dems does it take to run a Twitter account? ……'

One responsible adult - seems the kids are running their Twitter account these days..

RE Reddit and 4Chan and tageting and harassing on the net - I know a lot about that and the tactics used to target and drive off. Actually I saw that tweet as a call to arms for trolls….perhaps someone would like to report that to the LDs - that their Twitter account is inciting violence - and maybe I should alert @MNHQ to watch out for more trolls

TerfsUp · 04/04/2018 08:20

I, too, hate the term "microaggressions".

Does anyone else remember the furore in Oxford a couple of years ago when the university's Equality and Diversity Unit advised about "microagressions" committed against ethnic minorities? Among the "microaggressions" cited were not making eye contact, which could cause students "ill mental health".

They came a cropper when people pointed out that autistic and visually impaired people are often unable to make eye contact.

And lest anyone think I made this up: www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-oxfordshire-39742670

Anlaf · 03/04/2018 21:24

Because of Mumsnet I:

  • Bought saltwater sandals
  • Have excellent boundaries in relationships
  • Oppose self ID - I now realise because I was brainwashed by people making rational arguments
  • Own three jumpsuits
  • Joined the lib dems

So some good, some bad.

Anyway, this twitter account is currently making us look very foolish.

I'm still a member (for Brexit purposes) although am a newish member and am not yet sure of the levers to pull within the party- beyond the complaint link above, especially with a request to come and talk to us at MN.

We can do something on this at Lib Dem conference, although it's not for yonks. The LD facebook policy debate groups tend to be people blokes with entrenched positions shouting at each other. I'm not out as GC on twitter. Will have a ponder and sound out with some LD chums.

We will be door knocking in the next few weeks so please mention this issue to me (or any of my colleagues) if you see us. I'll be wearing yellow - the lib dem colour, or as you know our secret MN uniform, in homage to lemon drizzle Easter Wink

Ereshkigal · 03/04/2018 20:51

Exactly, I would put "microaggressions" in the same box as "literal violence"

Used to emotionally blackmail people and make them walk on eggshells. So controlling.

RedToothBrush · 03/04/2018 20:42

Incredible Ereshkigal.

So many little things in it the about psychology surrounding 'literal violence' because thats what micro aggressions are.

And a refusal to engage and understand the concerns of others would seem to suggest that would increase anxiety and defensiveness rather than diminish it.

Especially if you were surrounded by others like you and were particularly invested in your political identity.

The patterns of victim / target are also rather interesting.

Very thought provoking.

Ereshkigal · 03/04/2018 20:16

An utterly enlightening study about microaggressions

Isn't it just?

LanaKanesTerfyVagina · 03/04/2018 19:56

I fucking hate the word "microaggression"

It's used by woke fuckers and brocialists to shut every down.

South Park did an excellent piss take of a DudeBrocialist who used microagression all the time, then battered anyone who didn't agree/be PC enough.

RedToothBrush · 03/04/2018 19:47

Rolf Degen @DegenRolf
"Microaggressions" are in the eye of the liberal beholder.psyarxiv.com/973v8/

An utterly enlightening study about microaggressions.

This really does make a good case for getting out of the echo chamber and engaging, in order to lessen the impact of microaggressions.

much pondering

Glad you like it E. My autocorrect won't let me use your name !

ZERF · 03/04/2018 18:16

Out and proud.

Ekphrasis · 03/04/2018 18:13

Grin Budgieinaberet!

53rdWay · 03/04/2018 18:03

One of those Russian dolls for Mumsnet, surely?

AssignedPuuurfectAtBirth · 03/04/2018 17:48

I think we Russian stooges need to lobby @MNHQ for a vodka icon. Gin is far too British

Or a hammer and sickle motif?

Or a haz mat icon? (bad)

Waddlelikeapenguin · 03/04/2018 17:43

We need to spend some of that russian money on badges "radicalised on mumsnet"

Article is utterly bat shit bit Tom Farr's comment is brilliant especially when he points out they could have at least googled Grin

(Also a zerf - it makes me sneeze)

BudgieInABeret · 03/04/2018 17:08

I think I heard someone calling me
I will take cash

RedToothBrush · 03/04/2018 16:48

Oh right. I see.

Yes, how do you take complaints seriously on this without engagement though?

If they actively and openly go 'see ya' or refuse to engage or pay lip service they demonstrate the exact problem even more.

If they want to play a game of 'whack a mole' over it, then this is the way to go about it. Hit one women and you'll get half a dozen popping up in support.

LineysInTheSand · 03/04/2018 16:44

I meant that was 'our' preferred resolution, Red. Sorry for not being clear.

RedToothBrush · 03/04/2018 16:32

But it'll be interesting to see how the complaints are handled, especially as the preferred suggested resolution is open debate

Hilarious.

Especially in conjunction with their own code of conduct.

The double standards are amazing.
