I was just going to make Popchyk's point, which is exactly right. When transgender people are frightened of men, that's completely reasonable. When women are frightened of men, that's just being silly. No logic at all.

Some TIMs can be dangerous. My favourite example of ludicrous reporting was the Derby case of a 'woman who may be dressed as a man'. Eh? Whether a person is or is not 'pretending' is not really the point. A full-time 100% committed transgender person is no different to any other biological male, it really doesn't impact on their likelihood to be violent or abusive.

It's no different to 'not all men'. To the extent that many men are violent rapists, so to are many transwomen. It's no different.

That’s the point though isn’t it? We’re not talking about the people who ARE transgender, we’re talking about the people who are PRETENDING. it’s all well and good that the ‘legit’ ones have their GRCs and live their ‘quiet lives’, but when do we get to be worried about men that would take advantage of changes to the GRA? How many crimes have to be committed before we’re taken seriously?

Trying to engage with someone on there who is arguing that what ‘you don’t seem to understand is the lengths people have to go to to prove they’re transgender’. This is the difficulty - what Paris is saying sounds reasonable, if you believe that the issue feminists have is being irrationally scared of transgender people, which is a massive straw man.
