Sometimes it takes someone with a heart to actually debate all this and not report others for an opposing view.

That is just so ridiculous and knee jerkingly easy. But off you go.

CapnHaddock · 30/03/2018 23:55

Oh just ignore box. This is a really good thread - don't let him kill it.

TheCraicDealer · 30/03/2018 23:54

The amount of posters on Facebook and Reddit saying there wasn't the evidence to get this to court in the first place baffles me. Her internal injuries, the witness evidence from the taxi driver and Dara Florence, the blood on her clothes, Harrison's "economy" with the truth, her immediate report to her friend and Harrison the following morning then attendance at the Rowan Centre for examination, deletion of messages, the lack of corroboration with their versions of events, the convienent meeting the following day- what more do they want? Body cam footage?! She even tried scrabbing his arm to get him to stop, but he obviously explained that away by saying she did that when seducing him Hmm

The standard of proof that some people expect is incredible. They think there's some hard and fast evidence and the reality is that for most rape cases that doesn't exist. But the fact that any female over the age of 12 reporting a rape is viewed with suspicion despite the rate of false reports being no more than other crimes depresses me no end.

She couldn't have done anything more, and I think that's the most fucking tragic thing about this case. She had no chance. Something has to change.

You’re right green. Don’t know why I ignored my own advice.

GreenSeededGrape · 30/03/2018 23:48

Engaging

GreenSeededGrape · 30/03/2018 23:48

I think we should stop encgageing with GF on this thread.

boxthefox · 30/03/2018 23:48

The more you are angered the less the reason surely to call anyone out.

Honestly, calling me goady is just as bad as some other things which I will not mention. Women are sometimes their own worst enemies against their own .

ZibbidooZibbidooZibbidoo · 30/03/2018 23:46

What were you challenging by saying “it will be forgotten about by next week. Watch this space”?

Maryz · 30/03/2018 23:45

Hang on a minute everyone, you do know that sometimes posters go on and on repeating questionable comments in order to get a reaction and ultimately have the thread deleted, don't you?

It would be a pity if that was to happen here Smile

Ereshkigal · 30/03/2018 23:43

That's very clever, gluteus.

boxthefox · 30/03/2018 23:43

Rufus,

That is your view. You need to back it up though.

Ereshkigal · 30/03/2018 23:42

OK folks I did not realise that Feminist Chat meant that no one could challenge anything. Even nicely.

You didn't. You obnoxiously repeated a dismissive statement. Goady.

gluteustothemaximus · 30/03/2018 23:42

Have you seen that paddy Jackson is suing for a tweet, and will sue others too which has prompted #suemepaddy

This person wins the tweet: He never told anyone not to comment on it. So I just presumed he was enjoying the comments. Im sure if he said no everyone would have respected his decision. Then my friends wanted to comment on him&he never said no. I assumed he was consenting #suemepaddy

Brilliant.

Rufustherenegadereindeer1 · 30/03/2018 23:41

You haven't challenged anything box nicely or otherwise

Ereshkigal · 30/03/2018 23:40

I read what the juror said, why do you think that explains anything?

boxthefox · 30/03/2018 23:39

OK folks I did not realise that Feminist Chat meant that no one could challenge anything. Even nicely.

Woops.

winterwonderly · 30/03/2018 23:36

There's a reason the jury came to such a quick unanimous decision in such a complex case. A reason one of the jurors stupidly tried to put out in the public domain to explain why they did what they did. Part of me understands the #Ibelieveher campaign, but I wish people would be sure of all their facts before jumping on the bandwagon.

ZibbidooZibbidooZibbidoo · 30/03/2018 23:35

You didn’t answer why you have repeated the same comment so many times box. Why have you?

thebewilderness · 30/03/2018 23:33

Perhaps if you scroll back through the past two days and count how many times you said the same thing over and over it will come to you?

boxthefox · 30/03/2018 23:30

Zib

It is only a matter of time I reckon. Sadly some people just go for it and report.

But hopefully MNHQ will think about it.

I am still wondering what it is that got so many angered.

thebewilderness · 30/03/2018 23:29

boxthefox, I understand that sort of troll behavior and worse is considered normal on AIBU. It is inappropriate in the Feminist chat and after people politely asking you to knock it off it is guaranteed to be reported. Most likely they will simply remove your nagging negativity.
FYI. The streets are full of women protesting the injustice system in case you have not noticed.

Bettyfood · 30/03/2018 23:26

If a woman alleges she has been raped by several men, my default presumption would be that this is rape unless the men can prove consent was obtained. Most women do not want to have sex with several men at once, whatever porn film might convey, it is not normal sexual behaviour.

ZibbidooZibbidooZibbidoo · 30/03/2018 23:24

Have you been banned?

Ereshkigal · 30/03/2018 23:18

Perhaps stop being goady and obnoxious then.

boxthefox · 30/03/2018 23:14

I do not deserve to be banned.
