I'm struggling for words....

What's DV done right supposed to look like?

This is part of Jane trying to argue why women don't need single sex spaces....own goal right there.

The whole Twitter thread is stomach turning, it’s probably the worst thing I’ve read in a long time. The extreme hatred for women is horrifying

DancingLedge · 26/03/2018 21:19

MyOwnShed not deleted, the threads still up.
HomeTerf snap on the Twitter account situation.

whoputthecatout · 26/03/2018 21:16

What a sick individual.

ChattyLion · 26/03/2018 21:12

It’s horrendous that someone with such extreme woman-hating views is being invited on by mainstream respectable credible broadcasters to have a platform.

Miaow. Flowers

SophoclesTheFox · 26/03/2018 21:08

I went to twitter to read the whole thread in context.

Wish I hadn't. I'm not sure if I'm more perturbed by my initial impression of the casual dismissal of domestic violence, or the complete incoherence of Fae's attempt to link murder and toilets.

The whole thread isn't about how silly women will whinge over domestic violence. The point Fae seems to be getting to is more about how trivial women's concerns are over our places, our spaces, our privacy. "Pfffft, it's hardly murder, is it eh? Silly women". Then there's a completely inappropriate attempt at toilet humour at the end.

Truly, truly bizarre. Fae is a well known spokesperson on trans issues. Why are the people giving Fae a platform not more concerned about the obvious, glaring misogyny and the tone deaf treatment of women's concerns?

HomeTerf · 26/03/2018 21:08

I can't from my account as it's in my professional name. Can anyone else step in?

I've been thinking for a while I need to set up a GC anonymous account and I think this might be the moment to do it. (I'll have no followers though, and so run the risk of looking like a troll. But, got to start somewhere.)

MyOwnShed · 26/03/2018 21:03

Has it been deleted?

TheElementsSong · 26/03/2018 20:53

Dear god, that tweet Shock.

FeministBadger · 26/03/2018 20:52

Someone earlier on another thread was saying how many TRA exhibited Cluster B personalities and this has all the markers of narcissistic rage - imagine hating women so much that even their murders are infuriating.

Lampage · 26/03/2018 20:52

Murder is boring?

Egg-shell skull?

DV gone wrong?

This is clearly referring to women being murdered. How can this not be considered hate speech.

BeUpStanding · 26/03/2018 20:51

That tweet is really upsetting. It's actually made me tear up a bit, which doesn't often happen. I think it's hit me so hard because it's so casual.

Definitelyanamechange · 26/03/2018 20:46

Too slow typing, just seen hometerf has said similar.

Definitelyanamechange · 26/03/2018 20:45

I know Jane Fae writes for the Guardian but does anyone else know who else uses them for media work? I'm sure it will do no good but I am going to complain to any outlets I can to request no further work is given to Jane on the basis of this particularly offensive tweet.

DancingLedge · 26/03/2018 20:45

Hometerf yes, needs doing.
Can you?

SophoclesTheFox · 26/03/2018 20:44

What a hateful, horrible thing to say. I have no idea why Jane gets any airtime. Not credible, not clever, not insightful, not witty, not engaging, and clearly, not the slightest thread of compassion for women.

TheFrenchLieutenantsMonkey · 26/03/2018 20:43

Totally not apologising for this pile of shit but "eggshell skull" is a legal term based on a case where the (male) person who was murdered had an unusually thin skull. It was deemed that it was still murder even though a lesser blow wouldn't have killed a person with a typical skull.
This pile of drivel uses it in the wrong context too as the case that set the precedent was a man. So whoops, i didnt realise a lady head was so delicate yer'onour, please forgive my excessive use of the murder weapon, doesnt wash here.

HomeTerf · 26/03/2018 20:41

Is there any point quoting that tweet and tagging the news programmes that regularly hire this vile person? GMB for starters, suggesting that she is not a suitable person to be given airtime.

SardineQueen · 26/03/2018 20:32

Eggshell skulls FFS

Is there no length that men will not go to, to minimise what they do to us?

But old style cunty women are boring and pedestrian, aren't they?

Not sexy enough
Dried up stinky vaginas
Prone to not sticking to subservient / feminine role properly
And been "winding men up" and thereby forcing them to "go too far" and kill us dead, in massive numbers, all over the world, forever

So fucking boring. Maybe women would be less boring if we had proper skulls like men?

Kneedeepinunicorns · 26/03/2018 20:30

'Identifies' as something they loathe and despise, and spend their time belittling.

There are some deeply disturbed and disturbing individuals in the fore of the political movement.

HumphreyCobblers · 26/03/2018 20:28

That is so grim.

tobee · 26/03/2018 20:23

And yet there will people trying to defend or ignore this. How do they actually sleep at night?

Ereshkigal · 26/03/2018 20:19

"I'm sorry, your murder is too boring and pedestrian to make the news"

Ereshkigal · 26/03/2018 20:18

I didn't mean to murder her, m'lud, just slap her about a bit"

Sad thing is that probably is how it would go judging by some recent cases.
