Apparently the pupils have requested it.

I would be interested in hearing from parents or gils who attend this school on this issue - anyone?

Sorry have I misread do gender neutral toilets mean individual toilets and sold doors and privacy all around?

My wonder how is pushing for this and why?

RogerAllamsFangirl · 24/03/2018 13:29

I think this is a good idea personally. Much nicer for the girls going through puberty.

Yes someone needs to ask the school that question - can a male identifying as a girl attend?

Also why confuse uniform wtb the toilets issue.

Ofcourse they should have he option to wear trousers like other women but why bring it up with the toilet issue?

They are preempting having a trans student and when they do they will be all over he local papers saying how on trend and forward thinking they are as a private very privileged school.

What has wearing trousers instead of skirts got to do with anything Confused

TeachesOfPeaches · 24/03/2018 13:24

So could self-identifying MtF now join the school I wonder?

I tend to think clever

No trans children at the school, none in the pipeline

The girls have used this to

  • Get the rules changed so they can wear trousers
  • Get some indiviudal cubicle toilets which will be way nicer to use when on period etc

Clearly as they have no trans kids any toilets built will be for general use.

Just a shame that the girls can't wear trousers and get toilets that make it less stressful to handle messy periods without saying it's on behalf of an imaginary "male".

Or, maybe they got this stuff anyway and the media decided that girls managing to get stuff is boring but trans stuff is workth reporting, or that they can't imagine girls wanting things for themselves so they must have done it for future "boys".

Or, maybe they did do it to be inclusive but having been a teen girl, and with NO trans kids in the school, I'd say they used it to get things that they wanted.

I bet that was a nightmare to implement.

How absurd!
