Some are suggesting it may be permanently. The silencing of women continues.

I'm on @signorella if you want to follow me 😘

Grin
BeUpStanding · 29/03/2018 21:09

I think it blocks people who like posts by those already on the list? In which case it's going to grow exponentially until it includes everyone on Twitter. Maths innit Grin.

GrockleBocs · 29/03/2018 20:15

I used incognito browsing 2Rebecca and the link just upthread. There's a sticky on the twitter feed.

DoroVallens · 29/03/2018 19:57

@OvaHere thanks so much!
I will do it.

2rebecca · 29/03/2018 19:52

Where is the list? I'm blocked from looking at it does that mean I'm on the list? I wasn't on the list when one was published a few days ago

GrockleBocs · 29/03/2018 19:36

That list is most strange. David Aaronovitch (sp?), David Milliband, BBC2, BBC Archive and assorted West Country festivals are on it too. Twenty thousand people.

OvaHere · 29/03/2018 19:30

Are you talking about the BC board Doro? I saw it mentioned in another thread.

I don't see why you can't start a thread about it. Mumsnet HQ might remove it if the owners of that site directly complained but unless you are naming people it should probably be okay.

If you are overly worried stick to initials or some other big clue that doesn't name directly. We will all figure it out.

DoroVallens · 29/03/2018 19:22

*freely, not are freely.

DoroVallens · 29/03/2018 19:22

@grandplans sorry this layout is really difficult to work out.
I mean, there´s a parenting forum were women are being blocked and banned from when trying to raise concerns about all these issues you all write here are freely.

I´d like to post about it but I´m yet to figure out how things work here, don´t want to break guidelines and have the thread deleted.

Just wondering of I can name the site for example and all that´s happening there, on this board.

Thanks!

Winewinewinegin · 29/03/2018 19:17

Great minds Ova

OvaHere · 29/03/2018 19:11

I just had a look at Tim Minchin's twitter. I'm guessing he's been blacklisted over his defence of free speech and the right to offend people.

Winewinewinegin · 29/03/2018 19:08

Tim and Jonathon have both been talking about the importance of debate and freedom of speech in relation to that guy who got convicted for the nazi pug joke thing.

HomeTerf · 29/03/2018 18:47

agender have you screenshotted that? It's outrageous! How can they keep getting away with it?

AnotherQuoll · 29/03/2018 18:47

Tim Minchin? Pretty sure he's pro trans and made efforts to invest/promote trans writers.
I guess nothing is ever good enough for TRAs.

OvaHere · 29/03/2018 18:24

What did Tim Minchin do?

I've been hoping he might come out as gender critical at some point. I mean if you can write and perform a song called Fuck The Pope you can handle Lily Madigan, right?

BeUpStanding · 29/03/2018 18:18

Also 'Inside Crochet' and 'Knitting Help' are blocked. Maybe they're in league with the Battersea Brownies?

BeUpStanding · 29/03/2018 18:17

Sara Pascoe, Tim Minchin and Jonathon Pie are now on the list! Clearly terfblocker doesn't have a sense of humour

agender · 29/03/2018 17:58

They are doing their best to silence critical voices.

OldCrone · 29/03/2018 16:53

Just wondering what to do, I don't feel like supplying my phone number given the targeting of feminists by twitter tech people.
Buy a PAYG sim (supermarket checkouts normally have them for 99p) and use that number.

Melamin · 29/03/2018 16:36

It's not just me then............

grandplans · 29/03/2018 16:29

DoroVallens I have read your post 3 times and I can't work out what you're trying to say?

DoroVallens · 29/03/2018 13:49

Sorry to hijack but could anyone tell me if I could create a thread on a popular parenting site blocking people, deleting entire threads and banning women from discussing trans activists is against the guidelines here?
I can´t seem to find a way to contact an admin.
Thanks in advance.

Mumsnut · 29/03/2018 13:30

I can beat that. I have never tweeted, re-tweeted, liked or followed anyone from my Twitter account. It was suspended, none the less. I had mostly looked at gc people.

I thought the suspension was sinister, but someone on here explained that it was probably that my account was deemed robotic or inert.

I used their un-suspend procedure , and a banner appeared at the top of my Twitter to say 'log in from the e-mail address associated with your account, and we'll unlock'. It gave the e-mail address - which wasn't mine. It is a genuine, live e-mail address (I've sent an e-mail there and it wasn't rejected, though I got no answer), but it definitely isn't mine nor ever has been. I am very, very unwilling to log in using it, but equally unhappy to leave it associated with my account. Twitter refuses to act, and will not tell me how the account was suspended or how this e-mail address has come to be associated with it.

Juells · 29/03/2018 11:01

Dreadful to have to be so paranoid. it really looks like it's the radfem connection, doesn't it? That someone is being really really busy reporting anyone who posts on the subject. If you were a fecking Russian robot you'd have no trouble...
