Swim England have overturned the rule allowing men into women's changing rooms!

Just shows what you can achieve when you man-up and show the world you've got the balls!

You have clearly made them think and made them do something, I should imagine their first recourse is to call whatever pressure group they take advice from. So mermaids or Stonewall etc.

And this could just be a delaying tactic until the results of the Scottish consultation.

Unless they have actually written. new guidance and published it.

So we need keep up the pressure, all the time, every time.

Brilliant stuff, despite my fears!

womanhuman · 22/03/2018 10:56

errol, was thinking more Guides and TopShop but yes, you have a point.

(I was also v liberal with my use of ‘we’ as I did nothing beyond writing the odd supportive post... Blush)

  • We need now to do the same at every other org that’s put TW above W (quite possibly without realising the implications for W) and then stop self id.

Unfortunately some of the organisations which will be most significantly impacted aren't amenable to this approach- women's refuges or prisons.

Easy. ;)

Well done Sweary and Yes. You rock. 😍😍

Popchyk · 22/03/2018 09:30

Really really well done.

You can be proud of yourselves.

DontCisgenderMe · 22/03/2018 09:27

You are both brilliant! You have been so calm and reasoned throughout - what a massive contrast to the violent, abusive, ranting TRAs.

ellaoldie · 22/03/2018 08:57

This makes me so proud. The British are known for their irreverance and sense of humour and your stunt had both in spades. And achieved a solid result. Well done!

Massive well done. you are turning the tide and forcing others to really think about what self id will mean.
You were both braver than I could ever be

Bumblebzz · 22/03/2018 08:18

I love how SwearyG manages to not swear at all on radio and indeed sounds like someone who wouldn’t dream of swearing [misses the point of this thread]

ErrolTheDragon · 22/03/2018 01:40

Keep on with the minor acts of civil disobedience!

Actually, wasn't this an act of (very) civil obedience, you followed the rules?
