Apologies for the Daily Shite link but I am so pissed off about this I had to post about it

How is it appropriate to have someone convicted of Domestic Abuse appear on a dating show?! Am I going mad? I mean, I don't understand why anyone is hiring him for anything but WTF. Please tell me you're all shocked too?!

I've never come across this person but the conviction for dv should have surely put him out of the running for a show? Why would they want to touch him with a barge pole?

It started in the Sun, they said that he, McConnell, had confirmed he was the first to sign up... the Fail just echoed it!

I told him where it started, where else I know it is being reported, that Channel 4 deny commissioning it and that I will report this back to Mumsnet

Oooh they must have updated that since I first posted as it definitely didn't say that earlier!
Here's hoping it turns out to not be true and McConnell can crawl back under his rock.

buried in the Mail article it says Channel 4 are denying it? Well, they say they haven't commissioned the celebrity special, which is why I emailed the production company!

Pleased to say that I wasn’t previously aware of this waste of oxygen but genuinely shocked by this. He hasn’t even served his bloody time - he’s still under his suspended sentence.

I’d watch it if the conclusion was “So, Stephanie, you picked candidate C because you thought this good looking bloke with a bit of charm was a real catch, but actually he’s a violent fuckwit who no woman in their right mind would touch with a barge pole. The moral of this story is to trust nae fucker. The End.”
