Amy, the architect and hero of ManFriday has been invited on Good Morning Britain this morning. As far as we know the interview will be 7:40am. Please tune in.

I’ll take one for the team and watch from now, updating the thread when I see she comes on Grin as it’s the very least I can do considering she is going up against Piers Morgan and Peter Tatchell.

Good luck to her!

Does this mean im becoming more right wing? If i am its because of all this trans stuff.

No. It means that trans ideology is pretending to be left wing and progressive when in reality it is deeply conservative and regressive. A ibt like the way in which TIMs are pretending to be women when in reality they are gender non-conforming men.

BiologyMatters · 20/03/2018 09:09

I don't normally agree with littlejohn. I liked this though. Does this mean im becoming more right wing? If i am its because of all this trans stuff.

EllieMe · 20/03/2018 08:36

First time in my life I've read a Littlejohn article without feeling murderous.

CadyHeron · 20/03/2018 08:31

That Richard Littlejohn article is great.

OohMavis · 20/03/2018 08:29

I missed this yesterday. I'm feeling a bit choked up reading all this, it feels like we're getting somewhere, finally.

Thank you Amy! Flowers

TerfsUp · 20/03/2018 08:21

Thanks to #ManFriday for turning the tide.

Yes. Thank you, Amy. You are a star.

ShotsFired · 20/03/2018 08:19

That DM article has been up for 8 hours and not one single comment? Unlikely.

They are keeping the tightest of reins on that one, you can tell.

EllieMe · 20/03/2018 08:18

Thanks to #ManFriday for turning the tide.

LizzieSiddal · 20/03/2018 08:13

“The tide is turning”

I can’t believe how quickly this is happening. Grin
Only a month ago it seemed no one would listen and we were being called TERFS.
This month we’ve had a meeting in the HoCs, numerous media articles in our favour, ManFriday, thousands of women Tweeting, signing petitions, starting threads, writing to MPs, I’m sure I’ve missed a few things.

Sorry for the ramble, I just think it’s amazing!

IndominusRex · 20/03/2018 07:56

This is going to be enough for the tories to scrap GRA. The question is whether that makes labour double down on it.

BetsyM00 · 20/03/2018 07:44

Wow, that DM article. Overnight we have gone from TERFS to "feminists, making a legitimate protest" and "trans-fascists" got a mention, along with "transphobia" in scare quotes.

The tide is turning.

Juells · 20/03/2018 07:06

Definitely got the attention of MSM now.

ShotsFired · 20/03/2018 07:02

There's a very good comment on that Metro article:

Brittany Newmark
There is no such thing historically, culturally as "Transphobia" it is a made up accusation that serves the victim narrative and to silence, bully and threaten. Women and kids can be afraid of male sexual violence and male violence and that is what is considered "transphobia". Biology is transphobia. Reality is Transphobia. It is a violent male movement aimed to harm women and kids.

So when we are all being dragged into stating for the record that we are not sodding transphobic for the umpty-millionth time, perhaps we need to recognise what the meaning behind the slur actually is. We ARE afraid of male violence and that is the whole point.

merrymouse · 20/03/2018 06:41

I don’t understand how you can decide whether somebody genuinely intends to identify as a woman when nobody is prepared to explain what it means.

EllieMe · 20/03/2018 06:07

Excellent article. Thanks for posting it.

bellasuewow · 19/03/2018 21:57

I feel so very proud to be part of this movement. Thank you so much for being so brave Amy.

CadyHeron · 19/03/2018 19:41

Amy, I said it before to Hannah earlier, but I have fallen in love with the two of you!

Same Grin I've never "done" girly crushes but you've both earned my first ever one, lol.

IAmSproutycus · 19/03/2018 19:33

Only writing to say, thank you very much for your great work on our behalf. Onwards, sisters!

BiologyMatters · 19/03/2018 19:28

Really gross to watch piers harassing susannah on tv. "Don't worry, you can touch me, i wont #metoo you".

Ellenripleysalienbaby · 19/03/2018 17:40

Amy, I said it before to Hannah earlier, but I have fallen in love with the two of you! I watched you on GMB earlier, and I couldn't wait for you to speak each time because I knew that you would calmly make a good point, which you did!

I think we will look back on what you and Hannah have done as a turning point in this whole madness. What you are achieving is truly amazing, thank you!

misscockerspaniel · 19/03/2018 17:38

Shots but how do you know if someone has or hasn't completed a form? Will they have to carry some sort of self-ID card? Will it be acceptable or even sensible to ask to see the certificate of the bearded wonder in the loos? No, of course not. And this will obviously be exploited by every Tom, Dick and Harry.

LadyLance · 19/03/2018 16:19

Amy, you are so brave and such an inspiration. Well done Flowers

Greensmurfterf · 19/03/2018 15:29

That's interesting BreakWind as I do think JF comes across as genuinely defending trans rights, I don't see the same narcissism as in LM or IW.

It's just a great shame JF can't seem to consider women in all their musings.I did think they looked very nervous today.

Having watched Heather Peto on the BBC yesterday it suddenly struck me how they don't really believe they are a woman because otherwise they wouldn't need to keep saying it. I don't have to tell anyone I'm a woman because I am and everyone knows I am.

Though I'm peak transed scales keep dropping from my eyes everyday!

BreakWindandFire · 19/03/2018 14:58

Years ago I was involved with campaigning on a civil liberties issue (not trans or feminism related) and had some contact with JF - she was then John Ozimek and working at The Register. A very sound, nice bloke, with a strong interest in human rights. I'm now Hmm at the transformation.

I do have a bit more sympathy for Jane than people like Lily Madigan ie. transitioned in middle age, after years of dysphoria, and had a full surgical transition, and lost their career, and a lot of their personal relationships along with way. JF has traveled a hard road, and can't seem to grasp that some men might misuse self-ID and falsely present as trans when they are not.

Still don't agree with Jane though!
