Just spotted on Twitter that Women's Place are holding a meeting in Oxford next month. I don't think the tickets are on sale yet.

Is anyone on here going to go?

that photo of the protesters outside, there doesn't seem to be many (any?) covering their faces, compared to eg the Bristol meeting. Are they mainly Oxford uni students then, rather than Sisters Uncut/Action for Trans Health types?

I'm sure there will be a lot of pressure on the venue. It would be useful to express your gratitude by emailing [email protected]

Flowers and Gin to you all.

Women gathering to discuss proposed legislation being protested by Oxford University Students.

This in itself shows that there is a serious problem going on with this issue

MumOfThrMoos · 25/04/2018 20:14

Glad you got in safely Doublemint

(Really hope that the police are starting to question why women need their help to attend a meeting discussing women’s rights)

Melamin · 25/04/2018 20:07

Glad you are safe. Love and Strength.
If there is a meeting any where near me, I am going!

Doublemint · 25/04/2018 20:04

I'm in! Police had to walk myself and a mother in as they had threatened her and her child

LaContessaDiPlump · 25/04/2018 20:02

I had a ticket but gave it away as DH had training in London. So glad I found this thread so I can live vicariously!!

IreneWinters · 25/04/2018 20:01

Gutted I couldn't make it tonight. I was tempted to go and sneeze in the general direction of some protesters, but I didn't want to be coughing over the biscuits. I'm following on Twitter while I shiver under my blanket on the sofa. I hope I manage to get to another meeting at some point.

UnexpectedItemInShaggingArea · 25/04/2018 19:58

Sending love and strength to all WPUK attendees. Don't let the bastards get you down.

AndhowcouldIeverrefuse · 25/04/2018 19:51

Argh I wish I was there

No, Bo Novak is live tweeting (along with a few others) but the video won't be up until a later date.

AskBasil · 25/04/2018 19:47

Is there a livestream anywhere?
