You may know that the comedian Richard Herring spends International Woman’s Day on Twitter answering this question (19th November). This year he is using it as a way of raising funds for Refuge. Here is the Just Giving page should anyone feel inclined.........

Been refreshing Twitter all day today. Brilliant Grin

SophoclesTheFox · 08/03/2018 20:57

Slung him a tenner. He's doing good.

Can't care right now if we agree on everything. We agree on educating sexist arses on their sexist arsiness, and that's good enough Smile

OlennasWimple · 08/03/2018 20:35

Over £100k Shock

OlennasWimple · 08/03/2018 20:31

This is brilliant. I was thinking about him earlier today, wondering how he was getting on with his annual tweet-a-thon. So amazing that he has raised so much money for a great cause

holycheeseplant · 08/03/2018 19:03

That is genius and fantastic!

I did notice that he didn't agree with the black books writer who came out as a terf on twitter the other day though.

loveyouradvice · 08/03/2018 18:36

Oh my goodness he's raised £93,000 - how utterly brilliant - AMAZING MAN!!!! This is what we need from you menfolk - a bit of humour - a bit of compassion - a lot of listening.....

PenguindreamsofDraco · 08/03/2018 15:13

He has said that he thinks TW are W but accepts that others can think differently - there was a tweet which I must have seen earlier today from following a link from this board Grin.
Nonetheless I donated the £19.11 earlier because he's being funny today!

fruitbrewhaha · 08/03/2018 15:01

Amazing - it's over £73,000.

Xenophile · 08/03/2018 14:51

Don't know, Children, but he's on Twitter right now, so you could ask him?

Childrenofthestones · 08/03/2018 14:37

"Richard Herring has so far raised 33K for Refuge on International Women's Day by searching for people asking when International Men's Day is on Twitter, and then responding to them."

I wonder whats his take on TG women and their entry into female refugees .

ISaySteadyOn · 08/03/2018 11:03

donated.

Love Rich to bits. He's fabulous and extremely nice.

Waddlelikeapenguin · 08/03/2018 10:59

£41k!!

International Men's Day (19 Nov) is also World Toilet Day. This has always made me smile.

I've already seen comments on social media from women along the lines of "what rights do men have that I don't, what a pointless day". It's so sad and short sighted that even women are reluctant to accept and take part in a day for women.

Popchyk · 08/03/2018 09:56

This is his Twitter feed

One of the latest tweets from him:

"Newspapers/radio stations etc. I don’t do interviews about this because I am busy and because it’s International Women’s Day so please interview some women about that. Ta"

Jaxhog · 07/03/2018 16:09

Every other day?

splendide · 07/03/2018 16:08

Thanks for the link - I’ve given a tenner!

Iminthecclubnow · 07/03/2018 16:06

No one ever gives a fuck about International Men's Day apart from in the context of taking away from International Women's Day.

So looking forward to being told what we are and are not allowed to celebrate/raise awareness about tomorrow... I'm guessing reproductive issues will be a no no.

PinkyPieismyspiritanimal · 07/03/2018 16:02
