6 women 'convicted of rape'

So according to statistics released recently 6 women were convicted of rape in 2016, and sexual offences by women have increased a lot over the last 10 years:

I can understand that there is, rightly, more recognition that women can commit sexual offences, and they should be punished for it. But I have difficulty understanding how a woman can 'rape'. It doesn't say 'attempted rape' which I can understand. Does anyone know how we can get behind the statistics to find out more?

I thought rape could be committed digitally or with a dildo. I also recall a case recently involving a woman who dressed as a man and somehow fooled her friend into believing she was a man to become her boyfriend- they even got as far as sex but the victim had been told to wear a blindfold and the other woman parading as a bloke used a strap-on. I think it had happened on several occasions before the woman removed her blindfold and discovered the truth about her friend/boyfriend. I’m sure a conviction was secured, not sure what for exactly.

There's another thread on this but I'm convinced a lot of those crimes - not just the rapes - have actually been committed by men. All I can think of is making a FOI request

One of the constituent element of rape according to Section 1 of the sexual offences act 2003 is the intentional "penetration of a vagina, anus or mouth of another with his penis". You have to have a penis to commit rape.

This is so important. Somehow we need to know if these are trans women.. How can a woman rape?

Penetration will be the decdiimg factor that it is rape.they are not necessarily all trans people

I thought the definition of rape in England involved a penis?

Have they changed the definition of were they men?

They're transwomen, with intact penises.
