Sorry my point is - debate with a woman was different.

Not rtf - peculiar evening arguing with a woman on twitter in complete favour of self id and trans women are women etc,

Not one bigot (though said my ideas were similar to white supremacy and religious homophobia - I pointed out race cannot be used unless you include Rachel Dolezal, and most TRA was homophobic)

Just coming on here to say thank you to Graham Linehan, because I can't do it on Twitter. Which utterly sucks. I'm in a not-unrelated industry to his, all my followers are lefty progressive virtue signallers, and it would be professional death for me to support him on there. I'm not brave enough. But in case he checks this thread I want him to know that I admire his courage, and am grateful to him for his stand.

Oh and someone else on twitter. He was following me then sent be several long messages explaining that he'd had a look at my timeline and how he didn't think we could be friends, that i wa shitty ti trans people (I'm not) and that he had a man's perspective on feminism, but then nevertheless proceeded to tell me how I wasn't doing feminism correctly. The phrase 'narrow definition of a woman' was used. I didn't bother replying.

May I should.stay off twitter! But it's the best social media tool for activism, I think.

Oh I've got another rage induced. Witnessed a man on twitter harranging a woman who was explaining why, having been abused by a man, she would be traumatised by having a male in a shelter..

He said she was 'using her own victimhood' and constantly doing what about trans women? Are you suggesting they should have a body examination before they're allowed in the shelter and how would that traumatised them (to which I replied why can't they have their own shelters?) until she was just about begging him not to engage her any more.

Totally arrogant arse of man! I muted him as I was raging so much on her behalf.

I'm just trying to remember the point at which I realised LOJ was a raving misogynist, because I'm pretty sure it predated the whole trans thing. I had him pegged from something else he'd said (possibly about a labour woman politician).

I have a male colleague who thinks Momentum and Jones are great....he also follows Graham so hopefully this will get on his radar....I haven't raised it directly because I don't talk about this at work.
