Tomorrow I shall compose myself, continue speaking up, fight on, and we'll carry on getting stronger.

But I thought I would just explode my rage here, if you all don't mind, as I want to get angry tonight instead of desperate. Join me if you want to rage in company.

So.

FUCK YOU LABOUR, with your shortlists and your dismissive hatred of the female sex.

FUCK YOU, WEP, for choosing the wrong side and abandoning women this way

FUCK YOU BBC, for your biased coverage and concerted cheerleading of transing children and ignoring women

FUCK YOU ALL, you fools who aren't listening or respecting women.

You're all creating a monster and we will hit back HARD.
Our numbers are building.
We will NOT be defeated.
We keep fighting
We keep growing.

I AM RAGING.
I WILL NOT STAND DOWN.

What research has been done into puberty blockers, bearing in mind the horrific tales from women who have been diagnosed them for endometriosis, what will happen when the children grow up, and realise they are now sterile?

What is the situation with regards safeguarding, when boys wanting to join the girl guides presenting as girls, and the staff are unable to inform the girls' parents, with regards for example 14 year old boys being put into accommodation with 10 year old girls? Why is the boy's feelings more important than the very serious safeguarding issues?

Great call about the NHS (prisons was already on my list to rant talk about) .

This affects everyone. If you don't acknowledge biological reality, how can you offer appropriate healthcare provision?

TERFragetteCity · 09/03/2018 18:06

Any other suggestions for what I should say/ask very welcome

How does this impact for example, on biological distinctions when keeping records across a population?
How does this affect where for example the NHS put their resources [eg Prostrate cancer screenings being offered to biological women because they ticked a box saying they were a man, and not offered to biological men because they ticked a box saying they were a woman].
How does this affect crime statistics when [biological male] rapists are being recorded as women? And then put into a female prison.

"Ok. You win. My female parts don’t count as female and the woman who gave birth to me wasn’t a woman either. You aren’t helping your cause. I was a huge trans supporter before I was told I can’t identify as myself." t.co/bufTBVyqmS

SunsetBeetch · 09/03/2018 17:58

And she'd already done a shout out to trans women. You really can't win with these people!

SunsetBeetch · 09/03/2018 17:57

This poor woman in twitter. Told some stories of sexism she had encountered in her work as a paramedic. Besieged by Trans activists for not including trans women. It's gone on for two days! I think she just peak transed

Long-time lurker, been inspired to post by you fine people! Grin

I have made an appointment to see my MP in a couple of weeks, to discuss exactly this. I won't say who (outing) but they are male and Conservative in the SE area.

I have never voted for them (nor will) as I am an ex-Labour voter, who has flirted with the LibDems for expediency. And I disagree with them vehemently on a number of issues (cough Brexit cough). But will be interested to see what they have to say.

In our meeting, I was planning to focus on the need to recognise include women's voices in this whole debate. One MP can't turn the tide on their own, even if they want to. But getting us at the table is basic, and crucial.

Any other suggestions for what I should say/ask very welcome - appreciate the collective Mumsnet wisdom Smile

Right, back to the Rage Wine

I just did, but multiple reports won’t hurt...

I channeled my rage into laughing at Lily...

BluePheasant · 09/03/2018 12:11

I agree with you on every word OP.

I voted labour last time but they have lost my support.

There’s no way DD will join the guiding association if their erosion of safeguarding continues.

There are so many people in this country determined to show how cool and inclusive they are with no regard for women. Blind stupidity. It’s terrifying Sad

Finally the tables are starting to turn:

Joined mumsnet despite not being a mum purely to join in the rage!

You do not have to be a mum to be here.

imnolaidee · 09/03/2018 11:40

OP - I think we may need a 'Day of Rage'

imnolaidee · 09/03/2018 11:39

Feeling the pain with you Vaginaperson.

And thanks for bringing up the older woman thing.I have been told we are 'old school' and don't understand. Nothing to do with the fact we have lived a life and experienced the worst of sexism.

I mentioned the menopause the other day to a colleague (male) who warned me not to use that word in public forums - yes, he actually said that.

I also feel I can only talk about this under a pseudonym. Crazy, mad.

Vaginaperson · 09/03/2018 11:26

Joined mumsnet despite not being a mum purely to join in the rage! I'm of the libfem generation but at raging at what's happening and how misogyny is seen as 'ok' if even a hint of trans or 'sex work' is involved. The disgust shown towards older women that's nothing but ageism and misogyny.
I'm raging I can't talk about my body without having to 'trigger warn' about it or to divorce it from femaleness, that I can't associate my entire lived experience as a female with being a woman aka an adult human female or risk being cast as a 'terf' and thus 'the worst'. I'm raging that actual violence against women is excused because 'terfs are nazis'.
I'm raging I can't talk openly about this as bullying (disguised as 'calling out') is now accepted as long as the person is a 'bigot'.

imnolaidee · 09/03/2018 11:23

Yep, same here. I was involved in left wing movements in the early 80s. It was pretty sexist within even the most left of them. But that was back then. You'd hope after all these years of feminism it'd have improved.

Can you remember the SCUM manifesto, is it still going?

But then no, it is not about removing a thin cultural layer; this is deep seated resource control - and women are the resources.

My rage continues unabated.

Feck, I hate feeling like this.

Freshlylaidterf · 09/03/2018 11:14

Cheers! Yep a messier mess I cannot recall in all my years of rad feming! Just got to keep pushing on doing what we can.
