There is no party for us at present. I basically see two viable options for feminists:
OPTION A:
Organise a mass ballot-spoiling exercise. It would have to be consistent in how exactly ballots are spoiled in order to get attention. If done properly, it could have one hell of an effect.
OPTION B:
Stand for election or organise to field other, feminist-friendly candidates on every.single.level. Contest every seat.
Or how about:
OPTION C:
Stand Gender critical candidates (no reason why they couldn't be male) in a few select marginal seats. Stand on a single issue eg #sexnotgender, in defence of Equalities Act single sex exemptions. Non party political.
Choose closely contested seats preferably with pro-self ID candidates, if 3 way marginal even better. Possible constituencies - Derby North, Chris Williamson, Canterbury (snatched from Tories last time), Mansfield (snatched from Labour last time), Stella Creasy's constituency?
This could focus the media on the self-id issue especially as next election could hang on a knife edge again, pro-self ID candidates would have no choice but to defend their views to constituents and put themselves under the spotlight. It would also give at least some GC voters a place to put their protest vote and which could swing the result one way or the other.
Could still organise mass ballot spoiling in other constituencies.
