I made 2 people.

Well this is where I differ from some posters here. I wish I were that brilliant as to be able to make people.

I feel like most men are clumsy-looking(average male let's say), I've always liked my flexibility that I didn't have to put too much effort in. Maybe doesn't have to do too much with being female but I also like being smaller in size, I feel like some things come easier by being shorter/smaller.
And yeah the idea of something dangling between my legs isn't very appealing at all so I'm quite happy to go through periods and cramps as long as I have my practical vag lol 🤦‍♀️🤷‍♀️

I have no idea, I have nothing else to compare it to. I enjoy some aspects of being me, and dislike some others. I do not overly enjoy the biological aspects of being female but have no desire to change them either, and no interest in being male. I love my children but hated being pregnant, did not enjoy feeding them when they were little. The parts of parenthood I enjoy, I don’t believe would be any different if I were their dad. I did not give birth to all of my children, but love them all equally, so to me, female biology has not particularly made a difference there.

I am not a troll. Though, a TRA or MRA may assume I am.

I made 2 people.

Everything else is just 'stuff I like about being a human'.

This is how I feel. Although frankly, I didn't really enjoy any of the actual baby growth/ejection, and BFing was just because the kids needed to be fed - it wasn't a magical experience (OK, the occasional cute, milk-drunk face), it's just amazing that I grew 2 whole, new humans.

Actually I'll change the second. I'm small, and non-threatening, which is good in some circumstances, but in others is a hindrance - I have to turn on 'extreme competency' at work to take control of a team/chair a meeting or they just think I'm a little fluffy person and ignore me in a way that just doesn't happen to large, hairy DP (who once had a complaint against him at work, because 'his eyebrows were aggressive' - not him or his actions, not his words, just the eyebrows - the HR person taking the complaint double checked this fact!)

Back in the day when I had a child several of my male friends mostly lost their children when they divorced. I was glad to be a woman and not fear losing my child. I am also glad because I get to hang out with some wonderful females of the species, which is a lot, lot easier when you are one yourself.

The Op is fine. It was natteringnan who returned from bandrage to be banned again.

I love pregnancy, birth and breastfeeding. I love the support that women give other women (mostly). I have had a huge amount of trauma in my life and all caused by men, butthe amount of caring, support, help and love received from women has been incredible and I've also had my share of being the supporter for other women and children. That is more powerful than any violence to me.

RosemaryHoight · 02/03/2018 02:28

I don't know what the old troll said.

But I like that I can attempt to help children without being a peadophile.

Bexter801 · 02/03/2018 02:23

@Choccywoccyhooha apparently this whole thing is from a troll, but hey ho,still why not mention Your views on being a woman :)

Choccywoccyhooha · 02/03/2018 02:20

The emotional, psychological, and physical feeling of labour and giving birth. I cannot see how anything men experience can even come close to that pure connection with the visceral side of life. My family is complete, but I would happily give birth again and again. My first child's birth was traumatic, but it changed me in ways that nothing else ever could. My second and third births were unattended home births and were the best experiences of my life.

The feeling that we can make positive change collectively as women is something that fills me with pride too. We are so underestimated but we have so much more potential in us. We are not the ones who tend to start wars, become serial killers, or carry out acts of terrorism, or mass shootings. (Not on anything like the same scale as men), and when we eventually smash the patriarchy and get women into more positions ofower, I think the world will be a far better place. Until now the world has been run on male energy and ego, women haven't had the chance to counteract that, but I believe we will.

Bexter801 · 02/03/2018 01:42

I'm confused was this whole thread fake?

QuentinSummers · 01/03/2018 20:43

Banned troll is banned again
What a surprise. And people are shocked when we don't welcome new posters with open arms Grin

Mindhunter · 01/03/2018 20:41

Cant say there is much i like. I didn't like pregnancy and couldnt stand bfing so didnt do it with my second two. I have never had an orgasm let alone multiple. I think im doing this whole woman thing wrong.

LineysShanks · 01/03/2018 20:26

'Oooh, what's [something that any sentient human being could Google in five seconds] mean?'

canttake · 01/03/2018 20:18

It's a bit sweet that some people don't think there are trolls here.

thebewilderness · 01/03/2018 20:14

Banned troll is banned again.

LassWiADelicateAir · 01/03/2018 20:10

Yes. Now THAT sounds like an MRA

So what - the question was "why do you enjoy being a woman"

There is no wrong answer to it.

thebewilderness · 01/03/2018 20:06

You are, nan. They come here to troll, just as you have done today.

natteringnan · 01/03/2018 19:57

what's an MRA?

demirose87 · 01/03/2018 19:54

I loved pregnancy and being a mother to my child, knowing that I'm the centre of their world. I enjoy the sexual side of being a woman, being attractive and the multiple orgasms.

canttake · 01/03/2018 19:48

Yes. Now THAT sounds like an MRA.

Asking me about being a woman is like asking me about being me

Well yes and no - as I said earlier, my DH and I come from identical backgrounds, have similar jobs (to the extent we have worked together at some points) and have gone though various issues as partners and have both noticed the extra bit of challenge I face that he doesn't. So if the roles were reversed I'd be able to say "it makes me happy to be a woman that I didn't have those extra challenges to face due to my sex". For all the other stuff people are mention, I don't really see it - DH has wonderful male friendships and I have wonderful female friendships (as well as mixed sexed friendships obviously). The only thing I can see as sticking out from this thread is "I made a person" or "I grew people in my body".

JellySlice · 01/03/2018 18:05

This is a question that makes no sense to me. Asking me about being a woman is like asking me about being me.

At times in my life I have been very unhappy about being me. That was when I was mentally ill with depression. Now I am mentally well, and I am no longer unhappy about being me. I have a range of feelings about the different aspects of my life and of being me, some negative, some neutral, some happy.

Whether these feelings relate any more to being a woman than to being tall or blonde or coeliac...I don't know. It really doesn't seem relevant.

I'm delighted, happy, proud to be a mother. Dh didn't give birth or breastfeed. Dfriends didn't even have any genetic input into their parenthood - they adopted. Yet dh and dfs are also delighted, happy, proud to be parents. So I don't think our feelings relate to our sexes.
