Not sure if this appropriate to post here, but there's a Mumsnetter who's on Twitter and does some fab cartoons. She's just posted one today and I think it's brilliant.

I like it too, but I wish it were more clear that the binary refers to sex and not gender. I'm quite happy to acknowledge that gender expression is many and varied....

Oh I always thought ASD referred to it being a spectrum from severely affected to more functioning. Learn something every day, thanks for posting cliques.

Cliques, my kids have ASD, which is why it came to mind.
It’s a silly cartoon to make a point that has nothing to do with ASD.

It’s a shame because one factually innacurate bit that can easily be refuted detracts from the rest of it.

The autism spectrum just means that different autistic people will behave in different ways. It’s a Spectrum Condition i.e. no one set of behaviours shared by everyone. It’s not a line from severe to mild, those labels are often deemed offensive too, since they don’t quantify how autistic someone is, they usually apply to the IQ of the individual.

Sorry for the derail, but I spend so much time correcting this shit.

That's really good!! OT but I used to love playing Jet Set Willy and Atic Atac on my old Spectrum!! Everything was so much simpler in those days, when men were men and women were women.
