Trophy trans

CapnHaddock · 16/02/2018 10:23

The constituency where Ruzylo was hounded out is not the next constituency from the one Lily is WO in. It's not even in the same county. Adrie van de Meer is a member of the CLP and he and Lily are still conspiring against women with their TERF spreadsheet.

LifelongVaginaOwner · 16/02/2018 10:19

What is important is that powerful people in the Labour Party are prepared to use him as some kind of grotesque badge to decorate a faux progressive politics designed to appeal to the middle class youth vote.

This a thousand times this

LangCleg · 16/02/2018 09:06

Lily is an unstable teenage boy carrying a deep seated resentment of women.

It's a matter of public record (in his own words) that he has taken the route of MRA to TRA that is most concerning to feminists currently objecting to self-ID - to whit, how do you keep the women-haters out when the benchmark to womanhood is personal say so?

Lily himself isn't important - males with dangerously disordered thinking about women and girls are ten-a-penny. We know this - it's central to any feminist analysis worth its salt.

What is important is that powerful people in the Labour Party are prepared to use him as some kind of grotesque badge to decorate a faux progressive politics designed to appeal to the middle class youth vote.

I know when I and my interests and political needs are being betrayed by my own party. I see you, @UKLabour. I see you.

DodoPatrol · 16/02/2018 08:39

I agree that those stick-thin legs would worry me in my teenage daughter, but they're pretty similar to my healthy bambi-legged teenage son, so I think it's partly that we aren't used to seeing male knees in tights and mini-dresses.

NotTerfNorCis · 16/02/2018 06:59

I don't think he's well, to be honest. He's thin as a stick. Looks like he hardly eats.

DamnDeDoubtanceIsSpartacus · 16/02/2018 06:39

I just despair. It is so obvious that Lily does not even like women.

Collidascope · 16/02/2018 06:27

It's comments like that one about women in sport that make him a terrible woman's officer, but would also make him a terrible trans officer. He's so unreasonable and unintelligent, and the majority of people do not agree with mediocre male bodied people going into women's sport and hammering the women. Seeing that difference in height, weight and strength really hits it home to most people. But there Lily is, acting like there's no issue. I imagine a lot of trans people would resent being represented by that.

DamnDeDoubtanceIsSpartacus · 16/02/2018 06:04

Oh dear, Lily is now upset because of all cis women panels, apparently we need more trans representation, cos that's working out so well.

Also, trans women must be included in women's sports.

Lily doesn't really like women much do they?

Lily does discuss women's issues. By jeering, sneering and generally dismissing anything one says unless she is crawling and grovelling and sucking up to him. I'm sorry but I just can't lie to keep you all pc and happy. To his face I'd happily call him by which ever pronoun made him comfortable. This does not take away my right to be truthful. He is a boy.

TheCopyist · 14/02/2018 19:31

I'm not a massive fan of Lily. I think she (and I don't have a problem using 'she' at the moment) is immature, self-obsessed and almost entirely preoccupied with trans issues. As a women's officer I really don't see what she has to offer. However I save my real ire for the older, and presumably wiser men and women in the Labour Party who are presenting her as some kind of trans-messiah. And Corbyn is as guilty of this as others. Possibly more so.

Destinysdaughter · 14/02/2018 19:18

I just thought up a new term for all the so called feminists supporting ‘brave Lily’:

‘Transmaidens’ Smile

ijustwannadance · 14/02/2018 17:53

I'd love there to be an interview with lily's birth mum.

Surely lily could be dismissed from the post as women's officer with that 'down with cis' FB page?

Love the term cisphobic.

MrGHardy · 14/02/2018 17:50

"I actually have no issue with Lily Madigan as a person and I think mocking her appearance and skin is really quite mean.

I don't agree that she makes a good women's officer as she's clearly not interested in women's issues but that's a separate issue to her appearance."

As a person I think Lily is abhorrent. Entitled. Narcissist. Liar. Hypocrite. Childish/Immature. Unintelligent. Delusional.

Regarding her appearance - (most) trans women, and certainly Lily, value themselves as women through their looks. Through stereotyping what women should in their eyes look like. Lily laughed at a comment by that other freak (the guy who keeps threatening suicide and says he is autistic who did most of the bullying of Anne Ruzylo) about how manly Anne looks. Lily laughed. And you feel sorry that someone does essentially the same, just this time at Lily?

Nah. Nah.

Valentinesfart · 14/02/2018 16:50

LM could have been pointed towards the trans officer post that was also being elected at the same time, given LM's desire to be involved in local politics, which was clearly a much better fit.

I wonder what would have happened if she had.
I suspect the middle aged sensibly pant suited transsexual set would have been up in arms.

Valentinesfart · 14/02/2018 16:48

My concern is why all the cute girls should be sent to Lily. I'm not exactly minted and my clothes mostly have holes in etc as they are from my pre-growing-humans-in-my-uterus-and-feeding-said-humans-from-my-sagging-breasts days

unless you identify as 20 years old I don't think Lm will give a fuck. Mners and the like don't count.

Horridemma · 14/02/2018 16:19

Is Lily planning to fully transition or is he just playing at being a woman?

OlennasWimple · 14/02/2018 11:42

BigChoc - agreed. I almost wish that I was a member of LM's constituency so that I could make an official complaint along those lines

OlennasWimple · 14/02/2018 11:41

Hang on - LM wasn't "given" the position of Women's Officer in the CLP, he chose to stand for it and was elected.

The Labour Party could have disallowed his nomination (given that he isn't a woman) and prevented the whole issue appearing. There was also a woman standing for election and she lost out by a handful of votes. (TBF, there weren't many people voting in the elections full stop)

LM could have been pointed towards the trans officer post that was also being elected at the same time, given LM's desire to be involved in local politics, which was clearly a much better fit.

(One more small point of pedantry: LM was involved in making Anne Ruzlyo feel like she had no alternative but to resign from her Women's Officer post, but it was in a next door constituency to the one where LM subsequently took up post)

BigChocFrenzy · 14/02/2018 10:45

As a woman of colour,
I am nearly as angered & outraged by the Labour representative for "womans" rights advocating in social media

"down with cis" Angry

as I would be

if a white "BAME" representative advocated:

"down with P@kis" Angry
"down with n@ggers" Angry

Am I supposed to overlook harmful policies and open insults when I vote ?

I would never vote for a party which allows its official representatives to advocate such vile disrespect, contempt, hatred,
which says it will remove existing rights from women, or people of colour.

He was given the position. Your anger should be with the labour party. They didn't have to sack Anne and give the position to lily. I suppose it shows what they think of women.

AstraiaLiberty · 14/02/2018 08:32

Flamingowings I had to go and add this to the apple analogy over there (image is not mine, but made by some other feminist on Twitter who is more creative than I am)

Scabbersley I agree that mocking Lily Madigan's appearance is a bit unfair. I do have an issue with him as a person, which has nothing to do with what he looks like and everything to do with his arrogance in taking the position of woman's officer and telling ridiculous lies on Twitter.

Scabbersley · 14/02/2018 08:18

I rather wish I hadn't started this now.

I actually have no issue with Lily Madigan as a person and I think mocking her appearance and skin is really quite mean.

I don't agree that she makes a good women's officer as she's clearly not interested in women's issues but that's a separate issue to her appearance.

Argh, Flamingowings, those tweets. And that is why we all shouldn't have gone down the route of using "trans women." Because it allows for this Orwellian crap disguised as logic. TIM all the way for this disingenuous little brat.
