Karen ingala-Smith vs India "I'm a real woman" Willoughby on Good morning Britain (ITV)

Dr Nicola Williams vs Aimee "non-man of the Green Party" Chanellor on Nick Ferrari (LBC) - this was brilliant and well worth a listen, if you only pick one!!

Karen and India round two on Julia Hartley-Brewer (talk radio)

"He wouldn't test like a real transsexual"

No, and neither would the vast majority of the men currently bleating and whining "but I'm a woman!"

notafish · 06/02/2018 06:56

Equality act not equity obviously

notafish · 06/02/2018 06:55

It's frustrating not to hear any mention of the 2010 equity act during these interviews. A law that currently allows the exemption of TIMS and TIFS from certain sex segregated places or events. A law which was not created in some bygone era but established less than 10 years ago, when presumably law makers and other reasonable people debated these issues and came to these conclusions. How is it only 7 or 8 years later women are being forced to defend this position and being demonised for it when it is already set in law? What has changed in those short years?

thebewilderness · 06/02/2018 00:42

India actually said to Karen "I've looked at your website. I feel very sorry for men"
10th rule of misogyny: The worst thing about male violence is that it males men look bad.

Definitely not a real word. Nor is transmisogyny. (ha - that ones still underlined)

Akire · 05/02/2018 23:28

I don’t know if anyone saw but voice over at end of eastenders said “now on bbc3 a Transgender woman gets put in prison for murder in a male prison in such a shock horror tone. Not for poor supposed victim but oh no poor “woman” in prison.

A few months ago I would thought nothing of it, but now it’s like ping Ping mainstream sucking up to “poor Transwoman” victimised for murdering aw poor dab.

BeyondWitchbitchterf · 05/02/2018 23:27

What are the chances!!
Just as I turn it on...

"He coverts, that is his nature. How do we begin to covert Clarice? Do we seek out things to covert?"
"We begin by coverting what we see every day. Don't you feel eyes moving over your body, Clarice? Don't your eyes seek out the things you want?"

Now I just need to find the AGP quote!

Wasn't a real word anyway, terf Wink

Terftastic · 05/02/2018 23:16

I've typed transphobic so many times today, the word has lost all meaning. It doesn't even look right anymore - but it's not underlined as a spelling error/not a real word anymore.

ExFunFeminist · 05/02/2018 23:14

*She! Can't believe I misgendered Buffalo Bill

AngryAttackKittens · 05/02/2018 23:14

He needed those women's skins more than they did, obviously, and it's mean for girls not to share.

However much you think TRAs hate us you're probably underestimating it, to protect your own mental health if nothing else.

Terftastic · 05/02/2018 23:13

Everything would be transphobic these days, according to their sodding rules. Everything from a GCSE textbook - to Friends - to women's placards on the women's march - to saying 'a pregnant mother' -transphobic.

I like the post on the Transphobia thread - Mother Nature: the ultimate transphobe.

ExFunFeminist · 05/02/2018 23:13

True. With our cis privilege we can't understand how hard it was for Buffalo Bill to literally cope with skinning the people and all the literal trauma he literally suffered.

TallulahWaitingInTheRain · 05/02/2018 23:09

Presumably skinning people is a reasonable reaction to the trauma of being misgendered

ExFunFeminist · 05/02/2018 23:06

What? That article argues Buffalo Bill is a woman and was misgendered by the meanie privileged cis people (as he skinned them!). It's as though trans can now be used as as some kind of protective cloak which any predator can hide under. Even Andi Dier's victims used she pronouns. How can people believe this bollocks.

terryleather · 05/02/2018 22:56

I find SOTL unwatchable these days, and not because of Hannibal...shudders....

BeyondWitchbitchterf · 05/02/2018 22:54

Trying to find the "he coverts" quote, but no luck...

LaContessaDiPlump · 05/02/2018 22:53

That is just Shock and Norman Bates wasn't transgender, he was pretending to be his mummy!!

Bonkerama.

terryleather · 05/02/2018 22:52

LaContessa
I'm pretty sure I've seen defences of Bill online as a trans hero and Clarice a big ol' terf...that was another peak trans moment.

AngryAttackKittens · 05/02/2018 22:52

feministing.com/2016/03/10/my-auntie-buffalo-bill-the-unavoidable-transmisogyny-of-silence-of-the-lambs/

Openly stating that you empathize with Buffalo Bill on a feminist site has to be one of the most overt cases of pissing on women's legs and telling us it's raining.

BeyondWitchbitchterf · 05/02/2018 22:50

That fruit loop actually calls him "she" 🙄
