I love Jo Brand. I'm not surprised she on MN.

I am surprised to learn from.this thread she's a Christian though. Nothing wrong with being a Christian, I just didn't have her pegged as one.

ColinFlower · 04/02/2018 15:55

Another Jo fan here, hi Jo! I think you are fab Smile

exLtEveDallas · 04/02/2018 15:53

Jo has had a few good Feminist moments on QI as well, I always like catching the re-runs when she is on. Hopefully she will keep it up. We could do with a few more strong Feminist women in the public eye.

ParadiseCity · 04/02/2018 15:52

Happy Branday GrinCakeWine

Slartybartfast · 04/02/2018 15:50

love you jo
saw you live in london back in 1987 or something

GlitterGlue · 04/02/2018 15:49

I do like Jo Brand.

ShackUp · 04/02/2018 15:32

I agree that it would be nice to get people such as Jo to publicly oppose the self-certification/trans women are women madness.

Another huge fan here - ever since the 80's and snl uk.

Looking forward to new series of damned which is sodding brilliant!

BarrackerBarmer · 04/02/2018 15:29

I have a chaotic list compiled in my head, of public figures who I think have the nous to understand that 'gender' is frankly a steaming pile of poo, and the ovaries of steel to pronounce on such, at some point.

Jo Brand is on my list.

Jo, if you've been reading the feminist boards, and I bet you have, I'm putting some of my feminist eggs in your basket.

Anlaf · 04/02/2018 15:24

Branday

And we shall celebrate each Branday with Gin, Brew and Cake, and by launching anew our feminist uprising.

(btw fairy hammocks )

itsbetterthanabox · 04/02/2018 15:13

Also she is hilarious.

itsbetterthanabox · 04/02/2018 15:12

Love Jo Brand. I met her once through my husbands work and she was lovely. She gave me tips on swimwear!

BarrackerBarmer · 04/02/2018 15:12

Excellent, Hipster

"And so it was, henceforth, that the first Sunday in each February became known as "Branday"."

TanteRose · 04/02/2018 15:12

"Good evening I'm the sea monster" Grin

TanteRose · 04/02/2018 15:09

Getting On really was a masterpiece of tellyviewing.

I've loved Jo since her stand up days Smile

hipsterfun · 04/02/2018 15:06

Let us call it Branday.

ShackUp · 04/02/2018 15:06

This is the original and best! By a whole half hour! And the most feminist!

DancingLedge · 04/02/2018 14:58

We now have 3 current ' love Jo Brand threads'.

Can the first Sunday in Feb henceforth be known as 'Jo Brand Sunday ' ?

doctorcuntybollocks · 04/02/2018 14:56

Jo, if you're reading this: Why isn't your favourite username doctorcuntybollocks. Why? Why?

BiologyNotBigotry · 04/02/2018 14:53

Why does it not surprise me that she's a MNer?! Grin

I also cheered at the HIGNFY moment. I don't usually shout at HIGNFY so it made DH jump! I must admit I hadn't noticed what Ian said - I think I'm just so used to "man downplays impact of patriarchy" that I tune it out a lot of the time. I do hope it was just the editing that made it seem so bad... I wonder if Jo has any contacts who could leak the unedited footage...

BeyondWitchbitchterf · 04/02/2018 14:52

Hiya Jo!! I had a sneaking suspicion you might be on mn.

derxa · 04/02/2018 14:47

I'm a bit of a NoParty supporter. I can't stand most of the buggers. Grin

Cocolepew · 04/02/2018 14:42

Oh I was totally wrong BlushGrin

AssignedPuuurfectAtBirth · 04/02/2018 14:29

Hey Jo!!!!

Love you too !

RogueAnnJosh · 04/02/2018 14:27

@derxa - depends, who do you support?

Green/libdem/women’s equality?

Or shuddders

UKIP/Tory/satanhimself?
