This is late but are there any woman still standing with this woman in Vancouver? I'm thinking about a Stitch and Bitch meet up.

Gacapa · 12/02/2018 22:24

Yep. I'm her too.

CarpeVitam · 12/02/2018 22:09

I am this woman!

I think it says earlier she is from Vancouver Rape Relief - lengthy court case by man wishing to destroy them.
This is a link on their website -

Still all over Morgane’s Facebook, so it could be I’m blocked from MO’s twitter feed (as may have iamspartacused Morgane).

Bowednotbroken · 26/01/2018 22:31

Like PP I would love to be this woman - but fear I'm not brave enough

UpstartCrow · 26/01/2018 18:03

MasterWu I'm a bit surprised you don't know that woman is acting in defiance of canadian law and her own govt, in a group of thousands of people who could be aggressive to her POV.

When your own govt is against you and you speak out, yes that's a form of bravery. Far braver than spouting 'trans women are women' on command.

Yes we get that no one is shooting at us. We are trying to stop it getting to that point. Women in most of the world are subservient to men and subject to their violence. We dont particularly want to join them but we are swimming against the tide.

Agerbilatemycardigan · 26/01/2018 18:03

I'll admit that I did an air punch when I saw this the other day. Also, the look on her face is priceless Grin

lizzieoak · 26/01/2018 17:58

Is it just me? I’m not very Twitter conversant, just joined so I could see the threads on the Vancouver woman with the sign - but I don’t see that thread on Morgane’s Twitter. There will be screen caps galore, but she may have taken down her call to identify the sign holder. And she’s instructing people to call people “TERs” now, instead of “TERFs” (oh well, that’s okay then Hmm)

theaveragewife · 25/01/2018 19:59

It reminds me of the bully at school who would tell other girls to come into the toilet for a 'chat'. Sounds nice, means she's going to try and flush your head down the toilet.

I'm that woman, but like a pp only on facebook so far - I'm worried about twitter.

Doxing is a tactic used by the lowest of the low to intimidate. It impacts not only the intended victim but their families, workplaces, and even people of similar names who may be mistaken for the target.

Indeed, but it’s worse than that; it impacts all women who have ever thought twice before having an opinion online.

AngryAttackKittens · 25/01/2018 06:45

"Sit down for coffee" is at least an original way to say "punch her in the face".

No hate crime has been committed so far, but if the Ogre gets the information he's looking for there way well be. Gotta say though, he's doing a great job of peak transing a bunch of previously oblivious people/

thebewilderness · 25/01/2018 06:36

2nd rule of misogyny: Women saying no to men is a hate crime.

Caillearchy · 25/01/2018 06:29

Here's the email I sent to the BC NDP:

I'm writing to express my concern about the actions of Morgane Oger, who has used social media to attempt to 'out' a woman who attended the Vancouver Women's March.

If, as Oger claims, a "hate crime" has been comitted, the proper thing to do would be to ask law enforcement to look in to it. Oger chose instead to target this woman publicly, on Facebook and Twitter, which of course encourages people who may have information to publicly respond.

Oger's reason for wanting to obtain the woman's private details also vary from wanting to "serve" her legally, to wanting to "sit down over a coffee". Women are very familiar with this behaviour from abusers. No woman owes Oger her physical presence or the opportunity to harangue her in person.

Oger is currently 'doubling down' against hundreds of people pointing out what a dangerous and irresponsible thing this is to do, cheekily claiming that this is not doxing but "crowd sourced" information gathering.

The online safety of women is a serious issue. Harrassment is rife. Doxing is a tactic used by the lowest of the low to intimidate. It impacts not only the intended victim but their families, workplaces, and even people of similar names who may be mistaken for the target. For example, Oger recently attempted to fire shots at BC Lib candidate Diane Watts on Twitter and instead directed ire at Dianne Watts, former Surrey mayor.

Oger's actions are unethical, dangerous, and display an alarming lack of empathy and common sense.

If the NDP isn't unethical, dangerous, and lacking in empathy and common sense, you should let people know.

The comments on Facebook leave me cold actually. The frenzied hate is evident in all posts and each one is so irrationally blinded

Best thing I done was delete Facebook.

OpalIridescence · 23/01/2018 18:22

master wu

Some beautiful whatterboutery there.

In fact, I am capable of admiring bravery in all its extreme and quieter forms. I will continue to appreciate any brave women, publicly, going against what is expected of her.

I can admire bravery regardless of the skin colour of the women, can you?

SmartiesHaveTheAnswer · 23/01/2018 18:20

Nice try Wu, you show little understanding of the issue here.

The same patronising thing could be said about these violent TRA's. Don't they know that thousands of men are dying in wars every year as they practice their contouring and look for concerned women to bully?

See?
