I'll be visiting Edinburgh from afar that week, so I intend to be there. Meeting up beforehand would be great.
It's completely ridiculous that we feel this is a risky thing to do, and I know it is risky.
I'm sure most ordinary punters have no idea what's going on.

The woman who wrote it is really interesting and I think she was a MSP or councillor a while ago.

Interesting article in the Edinburgh Evening News on self ID www.edinburghnews.scotsman.com/news/opinion/susan-dalgety-my-problem-with-men-who-self-identify-as-women-1-4677359

Just bought my ticket! I’ll be getting the train from Glasgow. Really looking forward to it if a wee bit apprehensive.

SuperLoudPoppingAction · 30/01/2018 09:55

I'm coming from further afield and it would be tougher if it wasn't half-term - I think we'll stay overnight and it's nice to know the DC can do that without missing school.
Anyone else travelling from further away?

If you can't make it, maybe tell folk you know who might come?

Namelesswonder · 27/01/2018 13:12

It's half term in Edinburgh that week. Lots of people away. Bad timing!

PerfectlyDone · 26/01/2018 20:12

Tentatively, yes.
Not sure whether I am going to be free.

SuperLoudPoppingAction · 26/01/2018 20:10

I could bring an audio recorder and eventually when time allows put on youtube if it's ok'ed by organiser.
The other women's place talks were recorded I think.

KissMaCis · 26/01/2018 11:48

I can’t make this, but will it be live streamed? Or minutes available. The next London one, I’m there.

Fantasticmissfoxy · 26/01/2018 11:37

I've decided this is worth the risk of attending - would also love to meet up with others beforehand x

dragongirlx · 26/01/2018 09:44

Just got tickets for me and my sister - looking forward to it

OOAOML · 26/01/2018 09:42

I work in the centre of Edinburgh so provided parenting cover is sorted, can meet before.

SuperLoudPoppingAction · 26/01/2018 09:29

5.30 sounds great!

I'm postponing romantic celebrations until the next day.

sexnotgender · 26/01/2018 07:27

I’d like to meet beforehand, I can probably make it into central Edinburgh for about 5.30 depending where I’m working that day.

BearFoxBear · 25/01/2018 22:13

I'm in if DH is home for DC duties. Meeting beforehand would be good.

sexnotgender · 25/01/2018 19:38

It’s not a great date that is definitely true, however happy to give up some commercial bullshit for something I really believe in.

terfing · 25/01/2018 19:36

I imagine there will be a lot of no-shows since it's on Valentines Day... doesn't seem a great choice of date tbf Confused

sexnotgender · 25/01/2018 19:19

Got my ticket.

sexnotgender · 25/01/2018 19:08

Me!

Justabunchofcunts · 25/01/2018 19:04

When was the London one? What were the issues?

Freshlylaidterf · 25/01/2018 19:01

Name changed. Looking forward to it.

collieflowers · 25/01/2018 18:59

Throughtheforest
I've just realised that as it's on a Wednesday I won't be able to bring dd anyway as she'll be at college. But I think I'm still going to have some sort of conversation with her, I have no idea what she knows or thinks about the issue and I think it's maybe important I get in first. Though I can imagine listening to friends or listening to your boring old fart of a mother is probably not much of a competition.

Nineteenagain · 24/01/2018 19:22

SuperLoudPoppingAction
Me too. Will likely be in Edinburgh about 17.30. Maybe those who want to meet can pm each other with a place?

Throughtheforest · 24/01/2018 19:13

Collieflowers - maybe we can keep in touch about taking DCs? I'd rather the DCs learn the reality of this now, rather than find out about it when they're subjected to brainwashing at uni. They're the generation that will really be damaged by what is happening. Maybe we have a responsibility to try to explain the truth to them. Please pm me if you'd like to. I won't force them to go - so may just go on my own. Still under discussion.

SuperLoudPoppingAction · 24/01/2018 16:00

I'd be up for meeting beforehand but would like to get there quite early. Anyone who's up for it is v welcome to message me.
