I don't own a bonafide dress but I do have some quite long tunic style tops, one of which has some flowery applique so defo a woman when wearing that one... the others, not so sure.

I resent the hell out of being dismissed as a costume and performance men sometimes choose to use.
We struggled to be viewed as people. We see ourselves as people. Men can no longer use mad science to prove we are subhuman vessels for their seed, or the equivalent of farm animals, so now they argue this.

I was a woman yesterday evening. DH and I went out for our anniversary so I thought I'd make the effort.
As for today, I'm slobbing about in leggings and a comfy jumper. DH did lunch, I'm cooking dinner and he's setting the table. He also had a nice time at IKEA choosing a new footstool.

It makes me both angry and upset.
I've never found the expectations placed on me as someone born female in our society easy.
I don't do dresses,hate make up and especially as a child what I liked doing was reading,making airfix modules and fixing my bike.
My " easiest " time was when my DC were babies/ toddlers,as pregnancy and breastfeeding is kind of undeniably a woman thing.Or was.
But no,it seems not.I get to the point where I'm happy that I'm a woman with a particular set of interests and now it's right back to the old stereotypes.

"People are just people" is what I fucking thought we were gearing/moving/working towards.
Race/religion/sex/dress etc etc. No matter what you wear/worship/fuck/look like....

Now I find my "gender critical" stance (didn't know at 18, make up less, wearing the baggiest of baggy shorts, dreads, xxl t shirts and riding my bmx that it was a "stance" ) is actually transgender, and for the decades I've worn mens clothes and had "typically" "male" persuits that actuall I should have bedn male....rather than, ya know, a fucking woman with interests outside the dictated acceptable role.

When we had a conversation about it he was horrified (Dad of adult daughters) that his lovely, accepting daughters might be at risk in a womans toilet.
He's more amused by the gender stereotyping.

He finds it hilarious that the woman he is having great sex with would be considered male under these definitions.

DS used to hold tea parties in the dolls house for his toy cars. The lorries wouldn't fit, so the cars (very nurturing stereotype coming up, so they must have all been women...) decided to move things outside and have a BBQ on the bedroom carpet so the lorries didn't get left out.

(Loving trainsgender, btw).

I suppose gender and race can both be fluid while biological sex cannot because it only has Xs and Ys on offer..
