I made a couple of donations - one anonymously, and one under a made up name I use for FB feministy and stalky stuff (that is also the name of a 90's obscure band) - both got refunded and I was barred from donating again.

Makes no sense to be refunding anonymous ones. No sense at all.

No request for ID and no reason given. Just a GFM email to say a refund has been issued.

OK thanks. I am finding it extremely weird that some people are being asked for ID and others just refunded.

LangCleg · 22/01/2018 17:20

And another £35.

LangCleg · 22/01/2018 17:12

And another one for a fiver.

I was told on Friday that I had 48 hrs to provide ID or they would refund, so one of the refunds is probably mine.

Vicxy · 22/01/2018 16:51

milly did they ask you for ID, or just refund?

millyminty · 22/01/2018 16:48

LangCleg
That is probably my 20 quid! If I can redonate I'll double it.

Vicxy · 22/01/2018 16:48

The name I used was a female historical figure (deceased). Is that against GFM rules? I'd like to redonate so what is the best way to do this? Thanks

Absolutely ridiculous that that got refunded.

What's going on?

I have an idea why this may be. Will PM as I do not want this on the main boards and the reason why will be obvious once I PM.

LangCleg · 22/01/2018 16:40

And the total just went down again, by another £20.

What's going on?

millyminty · 22/01/2018 16:35

ATeardropExplodes · 22/01/2018 16:19

Still blocked. Just tried again.

ATeardropExplodes · 22/01/2018 16:16

I have tried different machines, different credit cards and different email addresses. Still awaiting to hear just why from GFM. Apparently their payment review team are short dedicated team and can't guarantee as quick a response as the customer happiness team can. I resisted the sarcastic response of perhaps they should stick to taking payments rather than refunding for no reason whatsoever might free up some time.

Vicxy · 22/01/2018 13:51

Plus don't forget some of us are still blocked from redonating!

I wonder why that is. Have you tried connecting via your phone data and using a different email/card? Phone data will have a different IP address, if you connect with wifi it will be the same. Odd that they would block donations, I wonder if its only this campaign or all.

ATeardropExplodes · 22/01/2018 13:32

Thehairthebod · 22/01/2018 13:18

The Gofundme is still rising steadily.

Amongst all of the doxxing bullshit and the TRAs, I think we should also focus on the fact that there appear to be many, many people out there who do get this. Surely the Labour Party can't ignore it?

BeyondWW · 22/01/2018 12:58

I guess for the less well known names, they may not have been spotted straight away when the mass-report happened?

LangCleg · 22/01/2018 12:41

I noticed that the total of the fund went down by a fiver just now. Are GoFundMe STILL refunding donations?

nauticant · 22/01/2018 11:52

I think that would look like a pile-on. Let's see if this Labour against Transphobia debacle comes to anything.

I agree completely. The one fantastic counter-weapon LM has is victim status.

ATeardropExplodes · 22/01/2018 11:51

The spreadsheet has been moved to the trash and are not accessible. hopefully someone in the LP has moved on this.

EElisavetaOfBelsornia · 22/01/2018 11:46

I wouldn’t support a petition against Lily personally. I would like the LP compliance unit to look into the whole appalling thing and take action against all those involved. Awaiting with interest to see if they do anything of the kind.

DodoPatrol · 22/01/2018 11:32

I think a mild enquiry or two is justified as to how effective LM is being in post.

How many extra women* have joined the Labour Party in LM's area, and does that encompass a range of ages, ethnicities, sexualities and parental/caring responsibilites? How does LM plan to make it easier to increase representation of groups who currently lack it?

How many has LM caused to leave?

*(female variety, given that even in LM's worldview, over 99% of women are definitely XX female)

ATeardropExplodes · 22/01/2018 11:10

Can we start a petition to force LM to resign for trying to force women out of the Labour Party.

Luckily as we are calm rational women we wouldn't do that sort of thing would we? He needs to foist himself on his own petard. Which he has done now after his first task as women's officer being to get women with a factual opinion on biology kicked out of the party...interestingly some are saying that there is no public info about them being in the party so this HAS to have been cross referenced against LP lists. Which of course would be a massive security breach.

AstraiaLiberty · 22/01/2018 09:51

LM probably has a twisted version of the truth in which he has nothing to do with this whatsoever - because Adrie (and others?) added the names to the list, not him.

I've seen this a lot with LM. The whole 'I can get pregnant' thing when he means that someday in the future womb transplants might be possible, 'I'm just a schoolgirl and too stressed to go to school' when he's at university, and a few other similar things that are only true if you look at them sideways and squint a bit. I most recently saw him trying to imply that someone didn't know what they were talking about and their argument was invalid because they said he was 19 and he's not. He turned 20 a few days ago.

It's as if one very minor detail being wrong enables him to just say 'I didn't' or 'that's not true' while ignoring the rest of the facts.
