Because we need something that will lift us up, rather than send our blood pressure soaring.

Thread rules:

Women who've done bloody amazing things.

I remember once getting spectacularly wrecked on port and lemon on New Year's Eve back in my late teens. My parents pissed themselves laughing when they found out what I'd been drinking, 'cos as my dad put it "port and lemon's an old lady drink."

I've been growing into my old-lady-dom ever since. Now I'm post menopausal I feel I've arrived Grin

My Mum and Nan. Both single parents, one widowed, the other divorced. Strong, wonderful women.

Aw, she is lovely, Latara. Badger, my DS decided quite early on that he was an atheist, but believes in heaven so there's somewhere for our last cat and granny to live... so I'm sure doggo is up there with them.

I can’t think of any more inspirational women and I’m too lazy to google anything because I’m tired and worn out with cretins on Twitter. I’ve closed all my browser windows bar this one and I present another photo of lovely doggo who now lives on a farm in the sky, hopefully doing whatever it was that used to make him yip and run in his sleep.
