'We will be taking guidance from people who are LGBT -who don't all agree-round the table. You need people who have lived experience in order to make informed decisions'
Well the last line is certainly a fact.

So half of the population is now irrelevant? Equality my arse.

thenightsky · 11/01/2018 23:14

Its a fucking joke isn't it? Monty Pythonesque.

God, I wish I could even vote green or Lib dem. But there are all full of the same BS.

And even the WOMEN'S EQUALITY PARTY (WEP)

Heather Brunskell-Evans, who spoke so eloquently at the meeting in Glasgow last night was ostracised from the WEP for daring to challenge the trans agenda.

Ereshkigal · 11/01/2018 23:11

Quite possibly.

Backingvocals
The Tories started this with the GRA.
I think Labours stance followed by your response is what they were hoping would happen

Backingvocals · 11/01/2018 23:06

I’m almost welcoming it. If it sends the Labour Party to its destruction quicker and takes this shit with it. No woman can vote for them, surely? I’ve beem a centre left voter all my life but would rather vote Tory than tolerate this.

I'm with you Annie

It's all a bit, 'What fresh Hell...

simmering thoughts and Wine

Sorry what?? My mind is boggling on a daily basis at this insanity. So if James comes in and says he's called Jane now, Labour will say please enter our all-women shortlist Jane, you're welcome. Meanwhile another woman gets pushed out from being on the list. They could end up with all-women shortlists containing no actual women but not to worry, it's important not to make a big fuss.

I went to a Labour Party meeting tonight for the first time since Iraq. I was feeling lukewarm about it but having seen this, seriously, they can forget it. If they refuse to define woman and refuse to recognise the male privilege and entitlement in taking these roles, they can whistle for my support

ArcheryAnnie · 11/01/2018 21:01

Fuck's sake.

I think that's all I've got left at this stage.

Confused

This is already happening.

They're also being used to make up numbers in 'gender balance' on committees. One of our committees is now 70:30 male to female, and no one is allowed to notice.

Dawn is the shadow Secretary of State for Women and Equalities.
