Girls have been beavers, cubs and scouts for years. Where I live this is much more popular and rainbows/brownies/guides seem to be on the way out. Maybe they are trying to address that, although I don't know if it is the same everywhere.

We used to go camping with the scouts when I was a guide. Girls one side of the field, boys the other, the leaders, eagle-eyed and sharp-eared in the middle.

What exactly is it that they think has changed about girls and boys that now, a boy who says he's a girl is OK to bunk with the girls, or a girl who says she's a boy is safe to bunk with the boys?

What about the fundamental nature of teenagers is different now, than it was 10 years ago that means this is suddenly OK?

I would love to read their risk assessments.

Oh ffs:(

What's wrong woth joining scouts and cubs which allow both girls and boys.

This is just deliberate taking over of girls only spaces.

Stop indulging this crap

I truly pity the first girl to be sexually assaulted by a male girl guide because it appears that until something awful happens this insanity is going to carry on.

I think a mail link would go down better in AIBU/chat Smile
