It is remarkable though. We've had decades of Coren having free reign in the media to say "look how marvellous I am, look at me, I SAID: LOOK. AT. ME" and he pretty much has it his own way.

It takes this disgraceful Weinstein business for people to go, "actually, when I do look at you, I see a narcissist and misogynist". And then it will be forgotten and it'll be Coren hanging onto his father's coattails and continuing with his grubby self-publicity.

GC has written an article saying he'd like his son to butt rape some people, not named people admittedly. Presumably this article is legally okay, it's published and freely available.

Is it legally okay for someone to write that they would like someone to butt rape GC, or is that a legal thing, actually naming him might be an incitement or something?

Though GC doesn't name the people he like butt raped to death, it can't be difficult to find them.

GC could say his comment was a joke. So then anyone writing that he should be butt raped could say "it's a joke".

How unspeakable for Coren to write that 'nobody told' Weinstein that what he was doing was wrong. As if sexual consent is some kind of brainteasing riddle that even really intelligent and successful senior men struggle to decipher. It's all so stacked against them, the poor loves.

Oddly, most decent people I know don't seem to need to rack our memories of how we have behaved at work over the past decades, in order to be 100% confident that we haven't been sexually harassing our colleagues.

Craig, in the past when men made sexist comments to see how I'd react, I'd think "meh, it's not like they are running for office".

The article doesn’t bother me as I couldn’t care less what Giles Coren writes or thinks. He’s a deeply irritating, unfunny man, with little discernible talent who is only where he is today because of his father. His opinion really isn’t important.
