This year, the number of murderers who are transgender is higher in the UK than the number of murder victims.

And then there's attempted murders and current murderers declaring themselves trans while behind bars:

Does the fact that MTFs are victimizers in these obscenely violent criminal acts more frequently than they are victims change how lawmakers will see their claims of eternal victimhood? I doubt it. How many male murderers will have to be given elective surgery at taxpayer expense and housed with women (far less likely to be in prison for violent crime) before someone takes a long, hard look at the reality of the situation?

You've got stamina 4, I'll give you that. You must be knackered after the all night guilt trip.

I find your insistence on re-education for women until we accept your faith-based position pretty chilling.

It's irrelevant if your stepchild is lovely and gentle and kittenish.

This thread was about statistics. Stats aren't about individuals.

The fact that my husband, my dad, my brother, my hairdresser, my trainer and my boss are all lovely men doesn't change the facts about male violence. I'm not getting changed with them (except husband obvs) and playing rugby with them any time soon, and I'm not interested in changing the rules to exempt any category of males from that. That doesn't hurt their feelings because they are respectful of the differences between men and women.

You can scold me till you're blue in the face, you can call me names ("transphobic" slides right off me these days, btw), you can guilt trip and compare me to a nazi, but none of that changes the reality that humans are sexually dimorphic, and women are different from transwomen. That's not a value judgement. It's just reality.

Calling people names is rarely a good way to persuade them to your viewpoint, by the way.

Fearandsurprise · 13/10/2018 04:39

Why didn’t I get an invitation to the women’s community?

Perhaps I was too busy at rugby camp.

WombOfOnesOwn · 13/10/2018 03:44

Amazing how a woman who supposedly thinks all transwomen have hormones and surgery also believes her child will not receive any "treatment.". If hormones and surgery aren't treatments for the child's dysphoria, what is it for?

Hahaha as if people give a fuck about this!! Murderers are murderers and not defined by how the present themselves. Just another excuse to trans bash. Clutching at straws now you lot Wink

AngryAttackKittens · 13/10/2018 03:01

she is kind, wise, thoughtful and witty and she is an articulate feminist

My DH is all of those things, though he wouldn't call himself a feminist as his mother taught him that men shouldn't do that at an early age. Doesn't make him a woman, or mean that randoms should feel the same way I do about him. To any other woman on the street he's just a male human who she doesn't know, and the usual threat assessment applies.

ALittleBitofVitriol · 13/10/2018 02:43

Of all the nasty, delusional, hysterical things you've said on this thread - and there's quite a few to choose from! - this is the most chilling:
She'd love to have female reproductive organs. When that becomes possible will you accept her?
when it becomes possible? No, I won't accept a male with harvested female organs as a woman!

Hyppolyta · 13/10/2018 02:36

On a serious note, all groups have been acccepted,as what they are.

We didnt pretend black people were white to combat racism, or that gay people were straight.

You arent asking for acceptance of someone for who they are.

Youre asking us to deny reality and accept someone is the opposite of what they are.

ShamelesslyPlacemarking · 13/10/2018 02:36

Should have said transgender women

ShamelesslyPlacemarking · 13/10/2018 02:35

women are just women who had a tough start in life.

Like Caitlyn Jenner? Caitlyn Jenner is a lot of things, and may or may not be a mentally healthy individual, but one thing is certain, while I use pronouns out of courtesy, I certainly don’t feel that she would recognize any of the aspects or struggles of womanhood as I have experienced them. I am happy to accept her as a person. I don’t accept her as a woman, and don’t understand why you think I should be required to.

Hyppolyta · 13/10/2018 02:34

I still cant get past males being described as a minority group 😂

ALittleBitofVitriol · 13/10/2018 02:30

Live life cut off from and rejected by those they wish to join?

We didn't cut your child off from some special fun woman club.

Your child is objectively observed to be categorized into one of the two sex classes. That just is reality.

How they, you, I, my neighbour or the queen feels about it is irrelevant. How your child chooses to present is also utterly irrelevant.

Where we have sex segregated spaces, it is to meet sex specific needs. Those who are objectively categorised into a different group have different needs. It helps no-one to ignore this.

pombear · 13/10/2018 02:18

But what an uphill fight to get her accepted to the community

Women aren't a 'community'.

We are a category, a grouping based on fact.

The use of 'transgender community' (aka a grouping based on people who feel something) doesn't translate well to the group 'women' and is unusual to hear.

A 'community of women writers', a 'community of Catholic women'. But a single 'community of women' for the whole world?

Unusual. If I was more cynical, I'd suggest an unconscious 'tell' slipped through there.

FloralBunting · 13/10/2018 02:14

What is 'aversion therapy'?

Feminist4 · 13/10/2018 02:12

Food for thought here? What do you suggest? Aversion therapy? Rugby camp? Live life cut off from and rejected by those they wish to join? Or fight to be accepted - as many minority groups have had to do in the past. One day they will be accepted into women only spaces by most women and boards like this will be in the history books. And you know what? Women won't mind or be more at risk as they will realise trsnsgender women are just women who had a tough start in life.

Hyppolyta · 13/10/2018 02:11

Feminist you are wasting your time.

This is your personal belief system that has no basis in reality. It leads you to believe all sex based provisions should be removed.

Of course those of us who dont share your belief system and prioritise safegaurding over feelings will never agree.

ShamelesslyPlacemarking · 13/10/2018 02:08

she is kind, wise, thoughtful and witty and she is an articulate feminist

I can embrace all those qualities in a male (or at least 'feminist ally'). I don't think those qualities make someone female, nor entitled to share female-only spaces or take female-only places.

Datun · 13/10/2018 02:07

It's not stigmatising someone by recognising their sex. It just isn't.

Datun · 13/10/2018 02:06

Wrong. Suicide in transgender community is caused by a single issue and the knock on consequences. Other reasons for suicide may not be.

No. Depending on which countries stats you read, between 40-60% have comirbid MH issues.

Feminist4 · 13/10/2018 02:03

Groan. OK. I'm wasting my time. It's like being among slave traders who think your child is the heathen.

Hyppolyta · 13/10/2018 02:02

I did not call them a man, I called them a male.

Thats is the truth. You can not force people to lie because you find the truth offensive.

Not can males force their way into female spaces by claiming they will commit suicide or be harmed if they cant enter.

Its just more lies, and we know its lies.

Feminist4 · 13/10/2018 02:02

But you aren't stigmstising those groups.

Datun · 13/10/2018 02:01

Feminist4

Supporting your child in denying reality is always going to be a problem. You will always encounter people who won't accept your belief system.

AngryAttackKittens · 13/10/2018 02:01

All children are vulnerable, on account of being children.

My niece is not less deserving of care and protection than a child who identifies as trans.

Feminist4 · 13/10/2018 02:00

Wrong. Suicide in transgender community is caused by a single issue and the knock on consequences. Other reasons for suicide may not be.

Datun · 13/10/2018 01:59

Trans children can be vulnerable of course. But so are disabled children, children with SEN and LGB children.
