If I can't beat 'em...

I'm going to put my 'gender' as male now. Going to 'live a man' but I am not going to change my clothes, not that I wear skirts much anyway. I will still style my hair and wear makeup because I will not be defined.

So I'm going to tell me DH and children tonight. I'm not sure if DH will accept that he is now gay.

Any one want to out their inner man and join me on my journey?

Right it turns out that my DH is a fucking HOMOPHOBIC BASTARD.

I can't believe it. We have been together for 20 years. He said he would leave me if I grew a beard and cut my hair. And I thought I had been oppressed when I lived as a woman! Turns out that some men are so badly treated. By other men denying their existence. It's so unfair

What am I to do? Should I post about it in Relationships?

In Leland and I'm in! I'm going to tell my now gay DH that he has to have sex tonight with my male vagina.

I'm Alec Squires. I'm a bi man who can't wait for some fit doctor to do my prostate exam. I'm also going to start going to gay clubs and find some hot blokes. Check me out in the daily mail in a couple of weeks whingeing about the hot gay guys not wanting to come home and have sex with me because they're TRANSPHOBIC and wouldn't have sex with me in my MALE vagina.
I take up lots of space on public transport and make women uncomfortable with sexual banter, I'm SUCH a lad.

Giles Grin I know people say "I've just spat out my tea" and no one believes them, but I was a second away from taking a large slurp of tea when I read that and still managed to spill it when I snorted. Better than being a second later and spraying it everywhere I suppose.

HardcoreLadyType · 04/09/2017 15:59

My manly name is Augustine Delgadillo.

I have a maths degree, and you can't get more manly than that - can you?

LineysRun · 04/09/2017 15:54

I am Logan.

OH will be excited to learn that he's a gee mon noy.

CountFosco · 04/09/2017 15:54

My manly name is Rolf McCool. I am babysitting my children today. My (newly gay) husband can do the housework when he gets home. I may need a nap soon my day has been so tiring.

I need to know what hipster bread is. Then I can explain how to do it properly.

(Obviously I have been cultivating a full Unix beard over the last couple of decades.)

AssignedPerfectAtBirth · 04/09/2017 15:34

First choice as a man: What are my political leanings?

Am I a lefty man who smokes a pipe and has a hipster bread who thinks women should STFU about trans women and let them in their bogs and changing rooms and stop being hysterical. And join Antifa

Or should I adopt a frog and a Kekistan flag and tell women to STFU and that they only want me for my earning potential. And I can't get anyone to shag me so I might get one of those bitch robots

The random name generator just gave me Dick. Grin

Judashascomeintosomemoney · 04/09/2017 15:29

I'm Dusty Hackney!?! (did I press the wrong button?). I'm confused though. Earlier I cranked up my chainsaw and lopped some branches off and later I'll be using my axe to chop them into nice firewood BUT, though I have a moustache, I've just finished bleaching it. What am I?

PatMullins · 04/09/2017 15:28

Ooh I'm Hugo

Elendon · 04/09/2017 15:28

Giles I'd have to keep patting myself on the shoulder. could use that as part of my Pilates exercises to up my abs

ErrolTheDragon · 04/09/2017 15:25

Hurray, I can be Errol! (I'd have quite liked to be Colin but then I'd probably have found myself identifying as a dachshund on account of being short)

rizlett · 04/09/2017 15:25

Actually scratch that Justin Assigned - I think Justin Sideways is much better.

Right all you lurkers out there. Man up. Or make my dinner and suck my man clit.

And don't expect me to defend you if you stay female. You made your choices. Life is tough if you are a man

My name is Justin Slightly?

Gileswithachainsaw · 04/09/2017 15:21

How would this work would I have to grab my own arse at work?

Elendon · 04/09/2017 15:17

My male name is Finn.

VestalVirgin · 04/09/2017 15:17

I'm going to start shouting "nice tits" out of van windows at any woman under the age of 30 or who shows the merest hint of skin above waist level. They love it really, it's a compliment.

How do you know those people with tits identify as women, though? Wouldn't accidentally want to compliment a man, right? That'd be gay!

Not in the UK, so won't be able to put my gender as male in the census, but I applaud your bravery! Be your true selves!

Popchyk · 04/09/2017 15:17

I am Colin and I am IN.

My self-awareness will evaporate and I will join threads on Feminism and Women's Rights and tell them that their experiences are wrong and that they've just misunderstood what we men are all about. If challenged, I will go whining to MNHQ about ad-hominem attacks.

I will then chunter on for ages about myself and provide great detail about my tedious life, and have no regard for the actual point of the thread.

Under no circumstances will I ever post in other parts of Mumsnet (the name Mumsnet is so sexist to us men by the way and why aren't those awful feminists up in arms about that rather than complaining about male violence?). Hypocrites.

Backingvocals · 04/09/2017 15:11

Yes me too. So many people telling me to man up, I've actually gone and done it. So far it's great. Just sitting on the sofa wearing a dress, like before, but my feelings are totally manly.

AssignedPerfectAtBirth · 04/09/2017 15:11

My name is Justin

Also going to change my surname as my current is simply not hard enough. Possibilities are:

Case
Time
Any other suggestions?
