I don't think I could pee standing up. Is this for women or men? I also would not feel safe with my trousers round my knees and my bum out in a public place.

But what if you needed a poo? Obviously there are still closed cubicles.

The temptation would be to sit on them, especially after a day out shopping, which I rarely do now . Peeing standing up isn't ideal.

My son never uses the toilets in his school. He keeps it all in until he gets home.

DJBaggySmalls · 12/08/2017 09:33

How are you supposed to use bog roll? I'm not carrying a she wee around, its ridiculous.
Just leave the womens toilet alone. Leave women alone. Make the mens all inclusive with urinals.

AssassinatedBeauty · 12/08/2017 09:26

You carry a she-we everywhere of course. Although if you had a she-we you could use an ordinary urinal I imagine, which negates the need for these.

Slimthistime · 12/08/2017 09:17

I am so confused
How do you use these if you don't wear skirts or dresses?

GodIsDead · 12/08/2017 08:23

Honestly, if this is how the Germans feel they need to tackle inequality they simply do not understand the problem.

Macncheesewithbacon · 12/08/2017 08:19

So I'm wearing full briefs and trousers, carrying 2 bags and have a toddler with me- how the fuck do I do this?

AssassinatedBeauty · 12/08/2017 07:28

@Holowiwi who are they aimed at, and how are they different to the women posting here that would make these urinals actually helpful?

Out2pasture · 12/08/2017 02:21

sooooo now my knickers will need slits in them like male knickers....
i'll have to grope at my nether regions to adjust the stream (I can imagine other vulval tissue getting in the way)
i'll have to tuck my dress into my bra or still have my trousers around my ankles....
then walk away with the last dribbles
sorry this is not progress

Holowiwi · 12/08/2017 02:11

To be honest I doubt that they are intended for the people that frequent this board no offense

Flimp · 12/08/2017 01:26

That is SO weird.

Women's loos don't work.
Yes.
Because they're not enough like men's loos.
No.

LassWiTheDelicateAir · 11/08/2017 23:57

Also, what happens if you start your period suddenly? I often need slightly longer and more loo roll etc - I want privacy!

This might be too much information but I can't be the only person who on going to pee has involuntarily ejected a saturated tampon followed by... well you get the picture.

gleegeek · 11/08/2017 23:54

NOOOOOOOO! I can't think of anything worse. Post childbirth, I can't guarantee the accuracy of my wee direction, so prefer to be in private using a normal loo thanks. Also, what happens if you start your period suddenly? I often need slightly longer and more loo roll etc - I want privacy!

VestalVirgin · 11/08/2017 23:31

Don't think it is an attempt to deny women's biology, just a fancy idea that won't really work. They have been around for a while.

Might be an idea to design some women's toilets for squatting over, as many women do that with public toilets anyway, and that way there won't be any urine on the seats of those toilets used by women who don't squat.
But of course we still need cubicles.

LassWiTheDelicateAir · 11/08/2017 23:11

One of my recurring, I wouldn't say nightmares but slightly unpleasant dreams, is that I'm desperate for the loo but everywhere I go is a loo exactly like these with no screens or walls.

QueenLaBeefah · 11/08/2017 23:03

It's a no from me.

Puffpaw · 11/08/2017 22:59

I hadn't even considered loo roll

OP posts:
OnlyHereForTheFeminists · 11/08/2017 22:54

I wouldn't want to squat in front of everyone who is queuing for the toilet (especially in a gender neutral facility) and I don't see how it would reduce queues. It takes barely a second to sit down and stand up, the rest of the time is just how long it takes for the pee to come out!

BelligerentGardenPixies · 11/08/2017 22:38

What about the loo roll? Are we supposed to just shake the drops off? Do they come with fanny showers/dryers?

I'm not persuaded.

dudsville · 11/08/2017 22:38

But how would we wipe/dry ourselves after?

LassWiTheDelicateAir · 11/08/2017 22:38

I don't want to carry a shewee why should I??

Hell no. Although the Lady P style wouldn't need it.

Puffpaw · 11/08/2017 22:37

I too have used squat loos, fine in a skirt nightmare in skinny jeans!

OP posts:
LassWiTheDelicateAir · 11/08/2017 22:37

Having used genuine squat toilets in China, there's an art to it. You have to tuck your trousers behind your knees as you squat thus simultaneously keeping the waistband out of range of your own pee and the bottoms clear of the inevitable pools of other people's pee on the floor

And having used genuine squat toilets it is an irrefutable example of skirts or dresses having an advantage.

Puffpaw · 11/08/2017 22:35

Why can't I have women's loos that allow for female biology and keep me safe?

OP posts:
PricklyBall · 11/08/2017 22:34

And I don't want to have to lug a she-wee around with me everywhere I go. It wouldn't fit in the pocket of my jeans and I don't carry a handbag.

A faff-tastic experience and definitely not one that's quicker than a normal sit-down toilet.
