An excellent article on the problems inherent in gender self-identity and a petition to have the author silenced and reprimanded

I came across both this article by Kiri Trunks and the petition to silence her this morning on the Gender Critical subReddit and thought it was worth sharing both here.

I've flagged the petition and objected to it on the grounds that it misrepresents the content of the article and is an attempt to silence debate, and damage the author professionally and personally.

Don't sign up using your real name. Create a new email with no personal details (DOB etc) and use that. Twitter can be brutal

I've not used twitter up until now, but it seems to be a good way of being involved, so I'll take a deep breath and sign up!

Thanks. I've reported the petition too, for mis representing the article and for misgendering (hate the term cis). If trans people get to determine how they are described then so do I.
