Wendy Jones, 54, could be seen celebrating as she left Liverpool Crown Court, where it was revealed she owned images of women having sex with horses, dogs and a pig, which she had been amassing for four years.
The court heard how Jones’ former partner, Kay Davies, reported her to the police after she showed her a photo of a young girl and and a man engaged in a sex act.
This is, of course, not a woman, but a transgender male, as the photos make evident. But if Jones is legally female, then their crimes will be added to the female statistics. And without the photos, there would have been no way to tell that Jones was transgender, as the article makes no mention of it.
How many sick, perverted crimes will be (and already are,) attributed to women, when they're actually committed by transgender males? And how is this right or fair? It makes me so furious Angry

Male and female prison guards work in both male and female estates, but should not normally be involved in intimate searches or similar activities.

BetsyM00 · 04/08/2017 09:56

My mistake, Saughton does have a female hall!

JigglyTuff · 04/08/2017 09:48

Oh well that's one thing I suppose Betsy. Just wondering why there are female prison guards in that case?

BetsyM00 · 04/08/2017 09:13

He was in Glenochil and is now in Saughton, both of which are male estates. Which is puzzling, since the Scottish Prison Service has a published policy of housing by self-ID of gender - and he is insisting his name is Tiffany!

More about Andrew Burns: www.dailyrecord.co.uk/news/scottish-news/too-dangerous-dock-prisoner-andrew-10272096

And this total psycho is being held in a woman's prison? Jesus :(

badbadhusky · 04/08/2017 08:31

I'm thinking a link to that Daily Record article in letters to MPs would neatly demonstrate the problems of the proposed self-ID legislation. If they go through, female (sex) prison officers would have no recourse to challenge the practice with their union & could find themselves subject to disciplinary or legal sanctions. Another case for the "it'll never happen (women's concerns are unfounded)" folder.

Gingernaut · 04/08/2017 08:14

From Scotland's Daily Record

BetsyM00 · 04/08/2017 08:08

Another case from the last year which fits this offence is Alice Smith article here

All this is really distorting the stats!

I've been going round in circles on ons.gov.uk trying to find the source for 6 women per year committing this crime. Got stats for the last 10 years for the crime of 'Obscene publications, etc and protected sexual material' but it's not broken down into M/F. Have asked the person who tweeted about this for the source, but just wondered if anyone else looked for them?

BetsyM00 · 04/08/2017 07:55

Seeingadistance You're right about rape definition in England & Wales, but very rarely a woman can be prosecuted for the crime as an accessory for assisting a man to commit a rape.

Interestingly, the law in E&W refers to 'his' penis, but the law in Scotland refers to 'a person's' penis - so I guess, technically a TIF could be prosecuted for rape.

Seeingadistance · 03/08/2017 23:08

I'm finding it really hard to read or participate in threads about trans, because it makes me so incredibly angry, and it seems to be everywhere. I've been avoiding these threads, and I've only read the first page of this one.

But, what I wanted to say was that this reminded me of a comment I saw on Gender Critical Reddit - about the way in which men are taking over women's spaces. Different types of space were listed, including, and this is my point - statistical spaces.

Actually, I was thinking about this earlier today for some reason. And wondering what legal contortions are going to have to be performed to enable the recording of statistics of rapes committed by women. I'm in the UK, where as I understand it, rape can only be committed by a man, i.e., a human being who has a penis.

Sorry if this is a bit scrambled. Was up at 5am today to travel back from holiday in Iceland.

againstvaw · 03/08/2017 18:46

It's also very easy for a man to go through birth records and find the name of a woman with the same birth date. He can have his birth cert changed to that woman's name. When he commits a crime, the papers will say "Wendy Jones, 54" and that's what will be on the record. Innocent woman will have her identity permanently confused with a perverted man in a dress. And when your descendants research you, they will find out that you were a sex offender.

JigglyTuff · 02/08/2017 08:27

And this is the terrifying thing. Unless we have photos or there is stuff on social media, the truth is hidden. The damage to women is incalculable

YetAnotherSpartacus · 02/08/2017 08:22

Indeed. I took the figures from someone on twitter who posted stats in response to the Wendy Jones case. She said there were 61 cases over the last 10 years, so should be more accurate than just looking at the last year. But we will never know for sure

I don't suppose that any of this is public? I'd love to do some tracing of the individuals involved.

Datun · 02/08/2017 07:57

Occasionally you'll get some wanker MRA on here pointing out that women use porn too, and, in fact how it's on the increase. MSM also brings it up, occasionally.

How absolutely galling is it, if the statistics are actually skewed because of identity politics?

I can't believe there is absolutely no way of knowing. That's dangerous.

Are they suddenly going to be implementing different policies in sex education because of the increase of females accessing porn? Without knowing if it's true?

OneFlewOverTheDodosNest · 02/08/2017 06:57

I dunno Betsy - the changes were implemented in 2004 so theoretically all 61 women in the last 10 years could be male. I doubt it's that extreme but I bet a large proportion are.

DonkeySkin · 02/08/2017 01:27

With regards to skewing of the statistics, it is worth pointing out that the average number of women convicted of extreme porn possession is 6 per year. Wendy Jones and now Kira Leverton have just increased the number of women committing this crime by 33% this year!

We can't be sure that those 6 are all women either. I'd bet that at least some are trans-identified males. Jones and Leverton are just the ones we know about.

AssignedMentalAtBirth · 02/08/2017 00:09

YY spell fail. Bed

AssignedMentalAtBirth · 02/08/2017 00:08

Fuck. That's worth invesigating

Pawpainting · 01/08/2017 23:50

Is it actually recorded? Anywhere?

I don't think so Datun. For reporting and statistical purposes, they are women with no distinction made. Shocking isn't it?

SerendipityFelix · 01/08/2017 19:37

If someone has made an application for a gender recognition certificate, media disclosure (or indeed almost any disclosure) is prohibited by the Gender Recognition Act 2004.

Application!?? So that application could have been unsuccessful, and the person is still legally their birth sex/gender, if they're referring to themselves as the opposite the media has to play along? Just when you think your brain can't explode any more.

QuentinSummers · 01/08/2017 19:35

This is why the "trans women are the most marginalised group....highest risk of suicide....highest rate of murder...." stuff annoys me. Because in the UK there is no way to know and the TRA movement doesn't want you to know by insisting the stats are lumped with women.
So you can't talk about violence to women without "centering" ffs transwomen as they "have highest murder rates". With no actual evidence.
Really annoys me.

Datun · 01/08/2017 19:31

Is it actually recorded? Anywhere?

Datun · 01/08/2017 19:30

Pawpainting

Fucking hell! And I should imagine it's completely illegal to ask whether those people are transwomen?

IdentifiesAsYoda · 01/08/2017 16:57

..too many rs!
