Sigh. I'm just so tired.

I'm tired of women not getting paid as much as men

I'm tired of women and children dying at the hands of men

I'm tired of women not having the same opportunities as men

I'm tired of women being sexually assaulted and raped and then blamed for it!!!

I'm tired of men and women who make excuses and claim that men have it just as bad because some men are also victims of domestic violence and because more men commit suicide.

I'm tired of fighting for a cause that feels like it is going backwards.

Tomorrow I will be fine, but today I am tired. Sad

I hope the news is good PoochSmooch. The posts you've made in the meantime have been, as is always the case, excellent!

NoLoveofMine · 26/07/2017 12:37

I'm with you WhichJob and often feel the same way. Remember how many women are with you and fighting against it all.

PoochSmooch · 26/07/2017 12:25

Thank you both. I don't know if I will hear today...that's what's driving me crazy! Sorry, I me-railed your thread there Blush

I always get a jolt if someone I like turns out to read the Daily Mail. Disappointing.

WhichJob · 26/07/2017 12:08

Thanks Pooch. Will you definitely hear today? Fingers crossed for you.

Feminist hugs always welcome! I sometimes feel surrounded by Daily Mail readers.

I'm with you, whichjob.

I'm on here at the moment because I'm waiting to hear some news which will dictate the course my life takes over the coming years. I can't concentrate on anything while I'm waiting, and while getting stuck into debates is helping pass the time and take my mind off things, it is also wearing me down a bit.

Feministy hugs to you Flowers

Walking, I have wondered whether I should just keep walking by. I always try to calmly (always calmly and giving extra weight to #notallmen etc) lest I be seen as a crazed feminist set on being offended, point out the feminist viewpoint.

But it even pisses me off that some of my close friends don't like to call themselves feminists. Men have done such a number on us.

I also feel like more people need to speak out! I am so proud of people like Mary Beard, Caroline Criado-Perez etc who speak out knowing that for a good 24 hours afterwards they will be trolled on Twitter.

But I wish more people accepted the truth; it is dangerous being a woman and that is the fault of men.

People would prefer to dispute that rather than address inequality.

I genuinely envy women who don't see it. I'd rather go back to that vague sense of 'there's something wrong with me, but the world's ok' rather than now: 'I'm ok, but there's something wrong with the world'

I'm with you WhichJob.

It's so tiring. We carefully circled our wagons, and now the guns and arrows are flying thick and fast, decimating the canvas and splitting the wood from all sides.

It is almost like it suits society for women to be oppressed. I wonder why that is...Hmm

Aw Flowers
It is sucky isn't it. Don't know how we've got to such a backlash Sad
