Boycotting a national transport network because their driver called them "Sir" (they are 6ft 6 with stubble) Hmm

Identifying as a "nympho slut chick" on social media and insisting that they are reclaiming the word slut when pulled up on it.

Insisting that they are "100% feminine female biological woman".

Also "reclaiming" the word dyke.

Denouncing all and sundry for transphobia on a daily basis.

They have autism and I'm absolutely CONVINCED this is at the root of this particular obsession/delusion but sadly they've found a whole community online and to some extent in RL who are encouraging it.

And yeah I'm using "they" which doesn't come easy at all. I don't really know what else I can do and still maintain some sort of family relationship. They will one day be my responsibility as our parents had him very late (I'm much older) and they may well never be able to live fully independently. I cannot become estranged but FFS!!

Spluttering outrage.

Predictably. I guess a humble "I am so bad and wrong and sorry, of course you are right" is only to be expected from female allies who upon trying to educate something discover the other person holds even more extreme(ly insane) views.

But if we are privileged for being able to have abortions, which I have actually read...!

Not in comparison to women in Ireland, I suppose, but as opposed to males?

Males don't ever need abortions, but why let reality get in the way? After all, some males want pap smears, too, instead of just being happy they don't need them.

And they were told to check their gender dysphoria privilege.

Gender dysphoria privilege? Comedy gold. Everyone who has real problems is "privileged" now, are they?

How did they react?

Datun · 12/07/2017 19:28

On one site a TRA was asked to define a woman and they came back with the usual novel length tirade of everything they had to put up with which is why they need access to women's toilets.

And they were told to check their gender dysphoria privilege. Shock

VestalVirgin · 12/07/2017 17:31

Has anyone tried accusing a transactivist of transphobia?

"How can you say that there are only two genders who need toilets!? There are infinite genders!"

And so on and so forth.

I'd be interested in what happens if you do that on the internet and they don't know you are not a (fellow?) TRA.

Datun · 12/07/2017 10:32

There are as many genders as there are people in the way it is being proliferated. But when it comes to trans-people, there are only two.

Both those ideologies are going to collide.

You can't be gender fluid, changing your mind on a daily basis, whilst at the same time being 'born this way'.

Except that as anyone can identify as anything, at any point and for any duration, you probably can.

SerfNTerf · 12/07/2017 10:00

Yeah I've read similar... "there are as many genders as there are people" Confused

OK so gender is personality then?

Do we need a separate toilet or sporting category for every single person then? One way to ensure everybody comes first I suppose Grin

Apologies for double post, forgot to add:

www.telegraph.co.uk/men/the-filter/a-nearly-complete-glossary-of-gender-identities-for-your-next-ce/

PS List is till growing, maybe when there is one for every human on the planet the list will cease to exist as the form will be too long as it would contain approx 7.6b choices Smile

Usui101 · 11/07/2017 22:35

But but but I thought there were over a 100 genders to choose from - are you limiting my choices? Grin

Good plan SerfnTern - an even better plan would be to have a real live support group with actual people who are specially trained to actually see through the BS and provide support funded by the NHS - but that will of course never happen as they have bought into it

SerfNTerf · 11/07/2017 08:56

No no Usui offload away Flowers

Maybe we need a whole new special shiny thread for supporting gender critical people with trans family members (or is there one?)

OP posts:
OlennasWimple · 11/07/2017 01:31

Usui - Flowers

Usui101 · 11/07/2017 01:26

I never knew there were so many emotions that one could feel in such a condensed space of time, I think I reached the limit about an hour ago without having a heart attack.... the only thing left is to draw a line under it knowing everything that could be done was tried (and failed) and to try to pick up the pieces and move forward.

VestalVirgin · 10/07/2017 23:50

Are you getting psychological help because of this? It must be traumatic to have your own son attack you.
(I just remembered that you really should get help because I read an article on how psychological trauma can affect physical health - and I felt physically sick after being attacked by transactivists online already ...)

Usui101 · 10/07/2017 23:38

To be fair, the police wanted me to press charges, but I declined as I thought my son had experienced a psychotic episode and would be treated appropriately by the mental health crisis team. It was the mental health crisis team that discharged him saying "he was just angry". The Domestic Violence team were and still are incredibly supportive, they get it and are furious with the mental health team and tried their best to intervene. But as you know the NHS have bought into this hook, line and sinker....

VestalVirgin · 10/07/2017 21:06

but he gets a free pass because he thinks he is trans

Oh my god! I didn't know police was so badly infected already, too! (Or could it be just the usual bullshit response to domestic violence?)

Flowers

Perhaps we should all become borg then we can all think as one!

Yes, perhaps. Well, at least the Borg are somewhat rational.

Right now, if the Radch invaded earth (Imperial Radch Trilogy, really cool series) and announced that we have to assimilate into their culture or die, I'd welcome them with open arms. They have no concept of gender, only one pronoun for everyone, so at least it would put an end to this shit.
