Stuff that i often see on fb is beyond disturbing.

People are transing toddlers because they put teatowels on their heads...

I sort of understand confused teenagers with MH issues under the influence of youtube, but ADULTS?

Or is this a new trend when you have a child not of the sex you preferred?

When I was a child I wore my hair short. I hated pink and dolls, liked wearing jeans and climbing trees.

Everyone who didn't know me thought I was a boy until I was about 12 and grew my hair.

I wasn't a boy, I was a girl.and I am now an adult woman.

Mums like her terrify me. Would I have ended up confused aboit who I was if I was growing up these days? As well aa correcting people who thought I was a boy would I have had to deal with people suggesting I was trans and making the possibility of changing sex seem like an easy option, a simple choice?

Would I have been at risk of being influenced to thinking delaying puberty was a good idea? Might I now be sterile and not have my two wonderful DC?

That is FUCKED UP

It just shows how ingrained and how much damage gender stereotyping does Sad

From the comments:

Mother finds purpose in life and validation in blogging about her special 5 yr old son’s penis

Indeed.

Railgunner1 · 27/04/2017 07:34

Its maybe a mother always wanted a girl, and got a boy who likes pink... Voilá! Its a GIRL!

And why the heck diggers are male, but penises aren't?

That article is disturbing, the comments more so.

So odd that all these parents of "transfer" toddlers are just reinforcing social stereotypes.

Oh my child likes pink clothes..That's proof they're a girl.

My child likes diggers this child is a boy

Hmm

Genuine dysmorphic people are rare.

A day a fucking 2 year old boy who likes long hair shouldn't be told he is a girl because of that.

I hope not! I don't get it. My son likes having his nails painted, wearing jewellery and dresses, not at all sporty or rough-and tumble, fairly quiet. I hate the thought that other children like him might be sent down that route... I think it's unlikely though, most people have enough common sense.

Railgunner1 · 27/04/2017 07:09

All these "lived as the opposite sex since they were 2"... Maybe its more trendy in America, not quite yet here, but coming soon?

It must be incredibly uncommon to transition your toddler though, yes it's ridiculous and very damaging - but how many people are actually doing it?

Soubriquet · 27/04/2017 07:01

It's "cool" to be a trans parent

Shows how progressive you are and oh so tolerant

IMO, just makes them look like a twat
