Please help me to not hate men

I have a wonderful dad and husband. I have sons, and I love them all to pieces. But I do believe that I am starting to hate men. When I read about their abuse of women and children and animals as well, I really feel HATE!!

SadSadSadI don't want to hate them. I don't want to be anything like those god awful woman haters, those soulless losers who obsess over women and who are lost, probably forever. I am NOT like them, because I do feel love and like for the men in my life. Just no other man.

Any advice?

No wonder The Bluestocking is quiet, you're all in here getting sloshed!

CharlieSierra · 04/02/2017 23:03

Bloody hussies. Grin

Datun · 04/02/2017 23:02

Miffer

That's awfully kind of you, I hate drinking alone, there's never anyone to adjust my clingfilm boob-tube for me. Unfortunately the fleet was in and after downing a couple of Gin & Its with the lads, I can't find my children.

Miffer · 04/02/2017 22:49

Datun I may join you for a drink, I am in a good mood as I just popped into the local copshop to have my husband arrested. Obviously I explained he had done nothing but a quick flash of my boobs and assurance that he was male and off they shot. In the mood to celebrate now.

Datun · 04/02/2017 22:44

As I'm slumped over the bar at the Lamb and Flag hazily clutching my class of Tia Maria and Lucozade I think Meagan has nailed it. Positive discrimination is the way forward, men should be forced to have custody of their children. It's only fair. .

CharlieSierra · 04/02/2017 22:05

Women beat their children, leave them home alone to go to bars, lie in custody battles, have men arrested for nothing ( having to lose home and children). These are facts. If you wish to ignore them then expect the same for your 'issues'.

Of course! What the fuck have we been thinking! We must immediately regroup, rethink our priorities, fight for men's rights in custody battles and ensure they keep their homes. I had no idea women were going to bars! We should definitely campaign to make that illegal. Immediately. I'm going to write to my MP right now.

HelenDenver · 04/02/2017 20:29

I think Meagan may have a teeny tiny agenda on here tonight...

joystir59 · 04/02/2017 20:25

MeaganRain All those things are true, but 93% of all violence in the world is perpetrated by men

Miffer · 04/02/2017 19:36

I'm with you Meagan once a woman kicked my pet tortoise. Where is that outrage for that? Fucking feminists.

MeaganRain · 04/02/2017 19:31

The majority of abuses against males are usually ridiculed, glossed over and with no to little resources its only going to get worse for them.

Women beat their children, leave them home alone to go to bars, lie in custody battles, have men arrested for nothing ( having to lose home and children). These are facts. If you wish to ignore them then expect the same for your 'issues'.

joystir59 · 03/02/2017 20:20

HelenDenver thank you for your response. I have met very few women who haven't had negative experiences with men, ranging from 'every day' sexist remarks to rape.

CruellaDeVilsEvilSister · 03/02/2017 20:19

Sorry to hear that you've had so many years of bad experiences Joy Flowers I've found exactly the same thing, to the point that I am no longer looking for a relationship with a man. I find my life is much happier on my own and with my friends. I haven't completely cut men out of my life but I spend very limited around them.

HelenDenver · 03/02/2017 19:59

Sorry you've had bad experiences, joy.

What you say reflects how the other thread turned out too - that when some women say that they "hate" men, they tend to mean they act on this by minimising time spent with men.

Whereas there are some women-hating men who express that hatred through rape, murder and other violence.

Go figure.

joystir59 · 03/02/2017 19:59

I hate men as a class but do love some individual men who have proven to be the exception to the rule.

joystir59 · 03/02/2017 19:58

The patriarchy, not testosterone, has side effects!

joystir59 · 03/02/2017 19:57

In a word- patriarchy

joystir59 · 03/02/2017 19:54

entertain them rather than entertainment, sorry

joystir59 · 03/02/2017 19:54

I am a lesbian married to a woman, and my wife's mum lives with us. So just the three of us. We have a few male friends and I've got an ex husband and adult son, we've also got a brother in law. I love the men in our lives BUT only for short periods of time as I find that pretty much without exception men dominate the conversation and take up space- its really really noticable when you don't generally have men around you.

Also- I am 59 and have had innumerable bad experiences with men from the age of thirteen onwards. So for me it is very much a case of a man having to demonstrate that they are ok before I will entertainment in my personal space. I much prefer the company of women.

Prawnofthepatriarchy · 03/02/2017 19:52

Snort! Grin

HelenDenver · 03/02/2017 19:51

Ah, I missed the Pizzey reference.

Jmslvlc990 · 03/02/2017 19:41

Jmslvlc990 · 03/02/2017 19:39

Prawn not sure what your talking about and I can't be arsed clicking your links as I'm too busy but your time and colourful language is very pleasing to me. Job done.

HelenDenver · 03/02/2017 18:43

Glad you think it's true
Cos it applies to you

Prawnofthepatriarchy · 03/02/2017 18:42

I think you might get more interest if you pop over to Red Pill on Reddit, jmslvlc. Not a lot of patience with MRA bollocks round here. Find someone who gives a shit.

Tend not to click on random YouTube links, they often turn out to be porn.
