To add to tichy's inconvenient facts

  1. science - you cannot change sex.
  2. MtT people demanding access to female only spaces make females using those spaces very very vulnerable.
  3. Our best evidence is that MTT (even post hormones and surgery) maintain male levels and patterns of criminality. IE: while nobody is saying all TW are predators, they are no safer than any other men.

It's such blatant anti-woman sentiment isn't it? Straight out of the MRA playbook. Drives me mad.

Amalfimamma · 03/11/2016 20:16

Hanora50

First off all cool yer jets.

I have to disagree because according to the Tavistock and other professionals there are more ftm than mtf which is a turnaround from when it was more mtf.
Please link to reports data etc

Maybe they are less visible because once they fully transition they look just like any other male using the mens toilet and so they do not need to fight for the freedom which the law of the UK allows them.
Maybe they just refuse to be as hysterical vocal and want to live in peace instead of imposing themselves on their chosen gender It could also be that FtM normally use the ladies until they have transitioned and even then don't make a big hoo-haw about using the gents. Whereas at the moment we have men awaking in the morning saying "Today I've Stefania and using the ladies"

I totally understand now the reason for your animosity against mtf because of course you view all those born with a dick/penis/prick/knob/willy as potential rapists and sexual predictors. Whereas of course those born with a fanny/vagina/crack or cunt would never commit a sexual offence or be preditory.
You do know the data and numbers on male sexual offenders and female ones? If not I'd have a wee google search before making an even bigger cunt out of myself being held accountable

Yep it all makes sense now After reading this latest post of yours I highly doubt you know what sense is.

SomeDyke · 03/11/2016 20:13

..of course you view all those born with a dick/penis/prick/knob/willy as potential rapists and sexual predictors......Yep it all makes sense now.

Was that just the whole issue of male violence against women and children (and transwomen actually, TERFs aren't the problem, males are!) being swept under the carpet in order to not offend the trans? Yep!

It's so blatant and enormous a fucking LIE that I'm just utterly gobsmacked. Again!.

FranticalFidget · 03/11/2016 20:01

you view all those born with a dick/penis/prick/knob/willy as potential rapists and sexual predictors

Nope BUT I do class them all as men.

So they can keep their knob willies out of the ladies changing rooms and toilets.

Datun · 03/11/2016 19:58

you view all those born with a dick/penis/prick/knob/willy as potential rapists and sexual predictors

Since the class of men is the only class that could ever be potential rapists then yes.

And are you really naive enough to think that a potential rapist would not use this loophole?

venusinscorpio · 03/11/2016 19:48

Suggest you do a bit of googling Hanora. Female spaces are primarily there to protect women from predatory men. Because men do prey on women, yes, much more than the other way round. You do realise this, or is it completely news to you? But in addition, many women don't want to get undressed in front of men, or have them as rape counsellors or performing intimate examinations on them against their will. Why is that such a difficult concept for you? And why aren't their feelings important?

ItsAllGoingToBeFine · 03/11/2016 19:47

Graph for you Hanora (ironically it incorrectly uses gender)

titchy · 03/11/2016 19:42

Hanora the incidence of sexual violence perpetrated by males and MtT is FAR greater than that perpetrated by females and FtT.

Nobody here hates trans folk or has any kind of agenda. We're just pointing out two things:

  1. science - you cannot change sex.
  2. MtT people demanding access to female only spaces make females using those spaces very very vulnerable.

FtT people understand those things and don't try and force their own agenda on women - that's why most trans voices are those of MtT people, not because we oppress them or pretend they don't exist.

ItsAllGoingToBeFine · 03/11/2016 19:38

Maybe they are less visible because once they fully transition they look just like any other male using the mens toilet and so they do not need to fight for the freedom which the law of the UK allows them

From what I have seen FtT do seem to be able to pass far more successfully.

I totally understand now the reason for your animosity against mtf because of course you view all those born with a dick/penis/prick/knob/willy as potential rapists and sexual predictors. Men commit far more violent or sexual crime than women

FirstShinyRobe · 03/11/2016 19:09

All those who have experience of Mermaids (and, for that matter, actual professionals in the field of sex dysphoria), is/was there any exploration of gender and sex in a way that feminists would recognise?

Datun · 03/11/2016 18:09

Funnily enough I think there are a lot of transmen. Just as many. But you simply don't hear from them. They are not the ones pushing the agenda. Neither to they suffer from AGP. Neither are they a threat in men's spaces. I wouldn't at all object to sharing a loo with a transman because they don't fit the male profile of sexual violence. And they're, er, women.

WankingMonkey · 03/11/2016 17:56

The reason people are more focused on MtF is because those people are all you hear about. Its them pushing for access to female spaces, its them making news with murders and sexual assaults. Its them winning 'woman of the year'. FtM seem to be pretty voiceless in it all. I wonder if this might have something to do their female socialization...

There also appears to be a lot more MtF than the other way around. Unless, again, the FtM people just keep themselves to themselves and don't shout on and demand others open up their safe spaces for them. Infact from blogs and such I have read it seems transmen in general do NOT want to use the mens changing rooms and such but feel like they should to help trans womens fights...Hmm

venusinscorpio · 03/11/2016 17:51

It's not that "interesting" Hanora. I don't care about what transmen want. Because they are not men who want to force their way into women's spaces, and let other men in as well. I've never heard one whinging that straight women won't sleep with them or saying men can't call prostate cancer a men's issue.

Amalfimamma · 03/11/2016 17:49

ItsAllGoingToBeFine

It was directed towards those who post (trans, trans supporters, mermaids members) on here not in general and I should have elaborated. Thanks for pulling me up on that.

Hanora50 you mustn't have read very well then seeing as I've commented on mtf on this and other treads. As have others.

venusinscorpio · 03/11/2016 17:45

It certainly relies on having no sense of irony when you say things like "unless you are trans you have no frame of reference". It's funny how men have absolutely no frame of reference to be able to know what being a woman feels like, isn't it?

Hanora50 · 03/11/2016 17:45

To.ATransMum...I just came back on to reply to the responses to my previous email but I really do not need to as you have done such an excellent job in responding...thank you so much. The very clear thing that has stood out is the total lack of understanding within this conversation of children and young people who live with gender dysphoria. I am also interested in how obsessed those commenting are about mtf transition as have not seen one comment regarding ftm. Very interesting.

ItsAllGoingToBeFine · 03/11/2016 17:41

I'm not sure it very fair to describe it as a trait.

I think the problem is that transgenderism relies on a variety of logical fallacies. On a "shallow" level it all makes sense, but looking at it more deeply the whole structure of the argument breaks down. I think that when you are so deeply and personally embedded in a theory you kind of instinctively shy away from danger points to protect your world view - after all if the theory is what you are , what happens when the theory breaks down.

(This is another of my issues with transitioning children)

Amalfimamma · 03/11/2016 17:34

Datun

It seems to be a trait. Dodge and deflect.

And then scream bigotry and transphobia when you answer their questions posts and comments.

😬

Datun · 03/11/2016 17:19

*too

Datun · 03/11/2016 17:19

Amalfimamma

What with it not being relevant and all.

I memorably asked ATM about 8 times how to distinguish a transwoman from a predator in a dress, if challenging them is discriminatory.

That question was left unanswered to...

Amalfimamma · 03/11/2016 17:13

Datun

somethings tells me we shouldn't hold our breath though......

Datun · 03/11/2016 17:11

Amalfimamma

I'd be interested in that answer too. Genuinely. Especially if it's not 'can't afford it'.

Amalfimamma · 03/11/2016 16:46

titchy touchè

ATransMum I now understand your stance on these threads. And why you kick out to defend yourself when no one is really attacking you.

I' sorry you feel this way, I honestly am but it is a scientific fact that
a) you cannot change sex because chromosomes cannot be exchanged like a top in Dorothy Perkins
b) scientifically if you have a penis you are classed as a man
c) A question, feel free to answer or not, if you present as a woman, feel like a woman (That's a whole other barrel of laughs thread), and say you are a woman, why not have the surgery? It's a genuine question
