Fuckin hell Sad

OlennasWimple · 19/10/2016 23:04

Queen and Aye - it's called the Houdini Sad

LyndaNotLinda · 19/10/2016 22:59

I think the fact that he walked home with a damaged ligament is hugely suspect. He's a professional sportsperson. Why would you risk inflaming an injury unless you were avoiding any trace of what time you got in?

In this trial, X was in the dock but not allowed the get her own lawyer.

Queenoftheblues · 19/10/2016 22:57

God this is so vile.

Queenoftheblues · 19/10/2016 22:55

Makes sense. No point pulling a sober woman who sees your face and could sell the story to the papers. I vaguely recall the jury found him guilty on the basis this is what happened.

AyeAmarok · 19/10/2016 22:51

Queen I've always felt that at best, she hadn't realised that the person having sex with her had actually changed. I think if she wasn't terrified and screaming by a STRANGER entering her hotel room while she was naked, then she didn't realise what was happening because she was too drunk or drugged. Don't forget, she wasn't told his name, it was dark, she couldn't have known he was the "famous, rich footballer, Ched Evans, who can have any girl he wants". He was just a figure in a dark room. That's scary, and dangerous, that she didn't even register that shows she wasn't aware.

Birdandsparrow · 19/10/2016 22:49

I've thought that. It was dark, she was drunk, he sneaks in without a word, his mate gestures for him to have a go and it's from behind and she doesn't even know it's more than one man. :(

AyeAmarok · 19/10/2016 22:46

Because he's the Men's Hero.

roseandmumandmore.com/2016/10/17/ched-evans-the-mens-hero

Society is fucked indeed.

Queenoftheblues · 19/10/2016 22:44

Yes that makes sense. The fact that Evans sneaked in rather than knocked may suggest she never even knew he was in the room. Crudely evans replaced McDonald in doggy position because these scum find it funny and she was none the wiser, hence Evans initial statement saying he didn't exchange a single word with her, which he later changed.

DeleteOrDecay · 19/10/2016 22:43

That makes me sickAngry

JenLindleyShitMom · 19/10/2016 22:42

Is standing fucking ovation?? Angry this world is seriously fucked.

CarrieLouise25 · 19/10/2016 22:39

I've just realised as well, that he's been playing football all Summer. Before the verdict.

What did he get the standing ovation for?

Yay, this is how we treat women!! Well done lad!

DeleteOrDecay · 19/10/2016 22:34

Totally agree Jen.

JenLindleyShitMom · 19/10/2016 22:32

They left the hotel because that was always the plan. Because that's what they've always done each previous time. They don't stay in the rooms, they have no interest in sharing a bed with or waking up with a strange woman and having to make conversation as if She were a human.

JenLindleyShitMom · 19/10/2016 22:28

He booked the hotel room for them to take whatever victim woman they snared to. But he booked it in macdonald's name so that when/if his suspicious girlfriend saw the payment and checked with the hotel it would be in macdonald's name and CE would just be the generous mate making sure his buddy had a room for the night. 'Cause he's nice like that Hmm

CarrieLouise25 · 19/10/2016 22:18

Very strange behaviour when CE said the reason for booking the hotel was (not to get a girl) but because they couldn't stay round his mum's 4 bedroom house as there wasn't enough room.

Why leave the hotel then? Which he booked because there was no room at his mother's house, the same house he went back to (after disappearing down the fire escape).

LassWiTheDelicateAir · 19/10/2016 22:15

McDonald's career seems to have pretty much been ruined by this. He's been slipping downwards on teams and making fewer and fewer ( or is that less and less? I never can remember) appearances with none in 2016.

Queenoftheblues · 19/10/2016 21:44

I've read that the friendship was a long one but at the time of the rape Evans was the richer more successful one. He booked and paid for McDonald's room who was supposed to sleep there. But he hung around the hotel lobby and left, going back to Evans mums house with evans at 5 am. Strange behaviour.

DeleteOrDecay · 19/10/2016 21:30

Come to think of it I find it shocking that they didn't explore that further during either trial.

Guess it's yet another reflection on how in rape trials the victim is under more scrutiny than the defendant. So wrong.

Felascloak · 19/10/2016 21:30

Ah aye perhaps that's why the defence didn't call macdonald. Maybe his evidence would be damning given he didn't have his own trial to worry about

Queenoftheblues · 19/10/2016 21:27

Yes because McDonald's text to Evans may not have been a invite but a statement of fact. Evans could have knocked on the door if McDonald had invited him, rather than get a key from reception.

AyeAmarok · 19/10/2016 20:56

And yes, I really think this should have been explored further. Ched and Clayton's sexual history in this particular regard is so, SO much more relevant than the victim's.

AyeAmarok · 19/10/2016 20:55

IIRC, in the last trial, apparently Clayton McDonald said that once Ched got involved he stopped because "that isn't his sort of thing", and that's why he went to the bathroom to get dressed then left. Telling reception that she was sick.

Which makes me wonder, given that CMcD probably wasn't expecting CE to actually lie to get another key and let himself into the hotel room, maybe he was also a bit, erm, uncomfortable with Ched being there, standing watching. Wanting to join in.

Maybe Ched's predilections for threesomes with Clayton are much more than vice versa.

JenLindleyShitMom · 19/10/2016 20:30

Yes why couldn't they just be men about their feelings and bang each other leaving vulnerable teenagers out of the equation.

DeleteOrDecay · 19/10/2016 20:15

I agree Queen, 2 men having a 3 some with one woman seems to be quite a common fantasy among men. There's nothing wrong with homosexuality, but I get the feeling if you ever questioned them about it they would deny it fiercely.
