What a mug.

JenLindleyShitMom · 22/10/2016 10:44

Oh god how depressing and desperate! Her claim to fame is appearing in the mirror defending her rapey cheating scumbag boyfriend. Hmm

Who is advising these people??

user1475253854 · 22/10/2016 10:35

Yes maybe if his career had gone as she'd hoped she might have been in with a chance of interviews or even an Hello wedding spread. Maybe she thinks this is her only chance?

gratesnakes · 22/10/2016 10:28

Hmmm. A big softy. That would be why he callously stepped over the Complainants fallen body in the kebab shop. And that would be why he is such good pals with a man who on the same lads night out repeatedly hurled a woman to the ground and kicked her.

This Natasha is a strange one. Why is she still doing media interviews now it's all over? I wondered what was in it for her and now I can only conclude that she actually wants to be a celeb and loves the attention. Wonder if Ched realises?

flippinada · 22/10/2016 10:19

Yes Jen.

It's much like posters on here who start off telling everyone what a lovely man their DH/DP is, but .... (fill in the blanks) and it soon becomes clear that he's a thoroughly nasty piece of work.

BeyondReasonablyDoubts · 22/10/2016 10:15

I'm not sure he was thinking about family when he appealed either. He was already out of prison, working in a lucrative career that doesn't need enhanced DBS checks, girlfriend stood by him, had child.
The same people supported him before the verdict as after - I don't think it changed many minds.
All it did really was cost a great deal of family money, to get one over on the victim.

JenLindleyShitMom · 22/10/2016 10:02

He’s a family person, he always puts everyone else first and he’s kind.”

But he's not. He wasn't thinking of family or putting anyone else first when he cheated on her. How can she say that and honestly believe it. She must be incredibly dim. She has a very warped idea of what it means to be a kind, family man who puts everyone else first. I would say her parents relationship has a lot to answer for in that regard.

This article on why Natasha Massey stood by CE is just infuriatingAngry

Just to add, the police Sapphire Unit were brilliant and always believed in me. I have no complaints about them.

Queenoftheblues · 21/10/2016 17:47

Thank you User and Cabbage.

WeDoNotSow · 21/10/2016 16:28

Was talking with my friend today about this, particularly her dads actions. I mean, why would he support a man who has treated his daughter so appallingly.
I think maybe he was embarrassed that his daughter chose to stay with this bloke, so thought it would lessen the shame if he was proved to be 'wrongly convicted'?
I'm assuming it was the dad behind the PI who complied the 'dossier' on her?

FannyCabbage · 21/10/2016 10:29

That's so brave of you, Queen.

One of the hardest things that would have such a great impact on others is being able to talk about your experience and about the way the police and the courts treat victims.

I worry that so many women will keep quiet after this ruling. Finding your voice after such an event is pretty terrifying, though - Queen, you've got my total respect and admiration x

user1475253854 · 21/10/2016 10:03

Flowers queen. I hope it's not too difficult to keep going over it. Hopefully your comments will help change the terrible system.

Queenoftheblues · 21/10/2016 00:24

Hi user it was a telephone interview. I will be invited to its steering group at some point and have agreed to tell my story.

user1475253854 · 20/10/2016 23:30

queen did they ask you to expand on that answer or was it a written thing?

FannyCabbage · 20/10/2016 22:13

Thanks, Charlie, I'll definitely look into it.

Queenoftheblues · 20/10/2016 22:07

For the record two weeks ago I was interviewed by a uni research group about my experience in court. The results will be presented to the cps. One of the questions was what had I learned from it? I said it taught me that if I ever break the law I'll know what to say and do in order to be acquitted.

Queenoftheblues · 20/10/2016 22:01

There is a local group looking for helpline volunteers dealing with victims of rape. I wasn't ready to get involved before but I think I am now.

CharlieSierra · 20/10/2016 21:22

Fanny some ideas: you can find out if there is a 'Reclaim the night' march near you, gather your friends and get out there, and you can share the 'tea and consent' video and the Janine Booth 'real rape' poem as extensively as possible. Also sign the petition, and write to your MP. Local feminist groups may have other things you want to get involved in.

FannyCabbage · 20/10/2016 21:11

I would love to see a #solidarity campaign that educates men and women alike about sexual assault and rape - and that says, actually no, I'm not okay with how victims are treated, i'm not okay with the onus always being on the victim asking for it, and I'm not okay with so much banter about rape. I'd love to show this girl and all others out there that we stand with them and for them and that together, enough of us can be a voice for those who don't or can't or are too frightened to. I haven't been able to read through everything on this thread, so forgive me if this has been talked about. Can we do this? How do we do this? I feel so impotent on her behalf, on our behalf. I want to do something to make a difference, to stand up and say enough.

FannyCabbage · 20/10/2016 21:01

Soon as this teething monster finally succumbs to sleep I'll have a look, thank you. It looks like a lovely light in a dark time for her x

DeleteOrDecay · 20/10/2016 21:01

Maybe he's just a slightly nicer person

Only just. Or maybe he played it all down in court as he is/was embarrassed about his sexual preferences being aired in public and didn't want the whole country to know what a sleaze he is.

Either way I doubt either of the men were that bothered about the victim being grilled for 3 hours about her sexual history/preferences.

Batteriesallgone · 20/10/2016 20:38

Queen I am somewhat jaded by my past, I would be the first to admit, but I have come into contact with plenty of men into that kind of thing.

IMHO it is a huge red flag that the guy is a rapist piece of shit because it's all part of the woman as receptacle bullshit surrounding porn type activity.

Plenty of blokes aren't put off by one another's semen - what's that game, wank biscuit? Where they all come on a biscuit and one eats it? Anyway I digress.

MacDonald may not have been into it in the same way as Evans. Maybe he's just a slightly nicer person.

Some dyke thanks for the link. I will donate x

It is heartening to see the messages that have already been left, and how many people do care -- so worth reading even if you can't afford to contribute. When I'm feeling very down about this, I go and look.
