Having been directed to this test by someone who has come to mn to enlighten us all as to how we are all wrong to think "trans are in league with the devil" (wtf?!) and how "yes gender is not provable, but neither is God and we all believe he is real" (again wtf?!), I decided to have a go. Apparently it is used as part of the diagnostic procedure, though this person does seem to be posting from Amercia.

I will warn you, it is a truly awfully written and unbelievably biased piece of bullshit, featuring spelling mistakes, leading questions, and at one point the wrong "there"!! It didn't take too long though, and thanks to it I now know that I am a man. There are issues with some questions raised that can easily be 'answered' by my asd, so it's a tad biased there too.

Anyway, I was wondering if anyone else fancied having a go at it too...

Ah hahahahaha - I just took a little peek. What the actual fuck has height to do with it? Ohmergadz, I'm too tall to be a woman!

Still, at least author says it's not a diagnostic tool. No shit.

RaptorInaPorkPieHat · 02/09/2016 17:01

WTAF is this? I didn't get all the way through it (which probably also has some great significance to my gender/sexuality)

Why does my ability to reverse park matter with regards to my gender/sexuality?

Ditto for housework
Ditto for maths

Was this written in the 1950's?

ftw · 02/09/2016 17:00

I don't think I cba doing the test (lazy and probably masculine...) but I saw someone mention pumps earlier. I'm 90% sure that in the US pumps either is or includes high heels.

OnceThereWasThisGirlWho · 02/09/2016 16:56

Finally completed it, although there were quite a few I couldn't answer:

Your Raw Score is: 415, which indicates that overall you are Androgynous

Your appearance is Feminine

Your brain processes are mostly that of a Androgynous person.

You appear to socialize in a feminine manner.

You believe you have mild conflicts about your gender identity.

You indicated your were born Female.

ANALYSIS:
Normal doubts/curiosities about life as the opposite sex, but you generally accept your physical sex and gender identity.

NOTES:

Your Answers indicate your psychological state has likely prevailed since you were quite young.
venusinscorpio · 02/09/2016 16:56

Apparently it's designed to exhaust you and break down your defensiveness.

OnceThereWasThisGirlWho · 02/09/2016 16:53

Eh? Whats the point in taking it five times? It was bad enough the first time. I haven't suddenly developed a fetish for french maid outfits in the last five minutes.

They missed a trick with the "favourite ape" question. Where are the bonobos? Surely the most sexed-up ape should be on the list!

venusinscorpio · 02/09/2016 16:53

This is what the creator says about whether the questions in the test are stereotypical:

Some of them are, some of them aren't. There are certain behaviors that are socially accepted as "feminine" or "masculine" and engaging in those behaviors will define you socially. In that respect, it can be very useful in identifying a "gender incongruity". Other questions are based on psychological research to help determine if the subject's brain is "wired" more like the typical male or female brain. Some of the questions favor the thought processes typical of women over men, and vise (sic) versa".

ErrolTheDragon · 02/09/2016 16:41

I think anyone else coming to this thread can spare themselves the time - you're almost bound to be either a rare androgenous crossdresser or a conflicted should-be FTT.

WankingMonkey · 02/09/2016 16:39
  1. Do you have a Bi-Polar disorder?

    No.
Hey, everyone has ups and downs, it isn't a "disorder."
    Never really thought about it.
A little bit, possibly - some days you're up some days you're down.
Yes, and you take medication for it.

--

This is disgusting really...assuming all people who have bipolar are women, basically :S What the actual fuck at the 'worst of the criminals' one Shock

Anyway, I finished it as I have nowt to do today and

Your Raw Score is: -950, which indicates that overall you are Masculine

Your appearance is Masculine

Your brain processes are mostly that of a Masculine Male person.

You appear to socialize in a very masculine manner.

You believe you have no real conflicts about your gender identity.

You indicated your were born Female.

ANALYSIS:
If your physical sex is Female your analysis confuses S.A.G.E., as you appear to have attributes of the Male gender, but have not apparently done anything to alter your physical appearance. Leading this program to wonder if you are actually Intersexed? If you are not, your hesitation to begin transition indicates you have doubts about your ability to successfully do so, even though you seem to be a serious candidate for Gender Reassignment Surgery.

No, I am not intersexed funnily enough Hmm

Nice to know if I ever fancy a cock of my own I am a serious candidate for surgery though

StatisticallyChallenged · 02/09/2016 16:36

I'd rather become a cross-dresser than take it 5 times in a row!

venusinscorpio · 02/09/2016 16:33

I don't think I can bring myself to take the test (can't handle the truth, clearly!), but I had a google and found this "technical details" page written by its creator. There are a set of FAQs about the questions etc. I hope you all realise the recommendation is to take it five times in a row! Grin

SoHairyAndForeverSpartacus · 02/09/2016 16:13

Here's mine:

S.A.G.E. Test Results
Your Raw Score is: 320, which indicates that overall you are Androgynous

Your appearance is Feminine
Your brain processes are mostly that of a Androgynous person.
You appear to socialize in a androgynous manner.
You believe you have normal doubts about your gender identity.
You indicated your were born Female.

ANALYSIS:
Female to Male Crossdresser
NOTES:

You are in a statistical minority as a bisexual crossdresser. Most crossdressers are heterosexual. Your motivation for crossdressing may be driven by the binary nature of your sexuality, as a way to more fully explore the Male gender role.

RepentAtLeisure · 02/09/2016 15:57

I'm very comfortable in my skin (female) but the test said I was androgynous and a possible FTM transsexual. They really need to reconsider their test. I never liked dolls, or jewellery, or wearing dresses, but it doesn't mean I'm less female than a man who does like that stuff...

And all the stuff about feeling aroused by housework, breastfeeding and traditional 'woman' stuff is concerning, and seems to point towards people like the truck driver who pretends he is a female toddler fulltime, and fucks his 'foster father'. It seems like a type of sexual deviancy to me, and I'm not sure why it would be included?

pontificationcentral · 02/09/2016 15:49

I am weeping with laughter at the ads offered to me alongside Peggy Lee -
'Take your psychology degree this fall!'
And
And
'Some things in life are bull - (your banking doesn't have to be)'
Bahahaha.

WankingMonkey · 02/09/2016 15:36

Is it even possible to get a 'you're a woman and perfectly happy with it' score?

Its too long to try it out, but I assume having physical attributes akin to a drag queen and getting turned on by housework and such, while being terrified of a powertool would make you a 'real woman'

Lancelottie · 02/09/2016 12:33

Facebook tends to offer me extravagant holidays and divorce lawyers. Should I worry?

ErrolTheDragon · 02/09/2016 11:33

Grin That'll be your browser settings and search history trying to drop you hints, m'dear. I don't get a sidebar on this PC... Out of curiousity I took a look on my work computer, which has the ad prediction thingy turned off but ads still on, and which rather charmingly believes it's French. My ad took me to 'musculature.eu .... French pecs. Make of that what you will! Grin

Lancelottie · 02/09/2016 11:16

Errol, that link gave me the lyrics but also a sidebar advertising Hotter shoes and pull-on stretch bras, as worn by the inhabitants of betterware catalogues.

I'm confused. Is Peggy Lee doomed to grow up into a matronly type before her time? Should she be wearing high-heeled 'pumps' and a French maid outfit?

ApocalypseSlough · 02/09/2016 10:53

Gosh the completes are very patient! It's a load of bollocks.
I've skim read the thread but what's the provenance? Has it ever been used as a diagnostic tool?

ErrolTheDragon · 02/09/2016 10:40

I parsed the anallophillia as relating to the 'crossdressing' ie I'm not turned on by my 'manly' clothes (t shirt and jeans. petite per una, macho as hell)

I believe I've uncovered the impeccable source of their data on perfectly happy womanhood here

BeyondASpecialSnowflake · 02/09/2016 10:09

DH has confirmed he is neither turned on by being a French maid or by power tools. I'd say he's closer to sex-addicted than asexual though!

OP posts:
MatildaOfTuscany · 02/09/2016 09:57

Lancelottie - I think you're absolutely right - I think the "thinking" (if you can call it that) goes "turned on by maid's outfit? - congrats, red blooded dudette (regardless of chromosomes), turned on by power tools (regardless of chromosomes)? - congrats, red blooded dude, neither of the above? - asexual"

StatisticallyChallenged · 02/09/2016 09:45

I'm tempted to get my car loving, 6 foot tall, bald (that distance to hairline question), broad shouldered, childcare worker husband to answer it. I suspect it would tell him to transition with immediate effect!

Lancelottie · 02/09/2016 09:41

How the fuck did they come up with asexual from those answers? Is it the absence of a French Maid outfit?

I do have one friend who is totally uninterested in sex, likes fast cars and large horses, and winds down with needlework. Shall I get her to do the test, and see if it keels over?

HemlockIsSpartacus · 02/09/2016 09:40

"If this pseudo scientific pile of wank is being recommended to confused people to help them make life changing and irreversible decisions, it's incredibly worrying."

That's the problem isn't it? It is funny to see how ludicrous it is, but if there are people (like the OP in the other thread) treating it as an actual diagnostic tool, and recommending it to other - possibly vulnerable - people, then that's hugely harmful.

What percentage of people taking that test will be told that they are in the wrong body? Going by the answers in here, mostly women who don't even buy into the whole gender is innate shit, that's going to be ridiculously high when it's given to those who are already swayed by it.
