On laptop. In bed.

Doesn't Vancouver look gorgeous? Have a friend over there and was lucky enough to visit her a few years ago. It's a fab place to live.

So it looks like Real Madrid V Liverpool..Smile

I will watch. Might cycle down the road with an England flag chanting we are the champions at 2am if we win.

YonicScrewdriver · 27/06/2015 21:13

No, too tired - it got BBC1 status though!

Bunting is up, beer in the fridge, face paint at the ready. Everybody watching tonight?

reni1 · 27/06/2015 18:32

For the men, Brazil and Italy won world cups in a penalty shoot out.

reni1 · 27/06/2015 18:27

Germany have won the women's world cup twice though, never on penalties. I think USA have though.

DoctorTwo · 27/06/2015 18:17

You missed out the crucial bit: "on penalties". If he didn't say that last bit he should have, it's the truth.

TTWK · 27/06/2015 17:19

As Gary Lineker once said, "football is a simple game. Two teams of 11 a side battle it out for 90 minutes or more, and the Germans win.

DoctorTwo · 27/06/2015 12:35

I thought the French were a bit unlucky last night. They should've been 3-0 up by the half hour mark.

YonicScrewdriver · 27/06/2015 09:08

I expect the game draws on lots of sources of expertise.

I wonder if the German men have been involved in the coaching of the German women re penalties. Or is it sexist to suggest that?

5 absolutely top draw penalties. I sometimes wonder if penalties are on the German national curriculum, along with maths and science!

reni1 · 26/06/2015 23:50

The England game is at stupid o'clock tomorrow, I already have football induced jet lag.

reni1 · 26/06/2015 23:48

Penalties are so draining.

YonicScrewdriver · 26/06/2015 23:35

Argh penalties

I'm assuming you are all watching France v Germany. Showcase game but I'm getting stressed and i don't care who goes through. Don't know how the Germans and French are coping.

TTWK · 26/06/2015 13:06

So the Lionesses came from behind to win a world cup knockout match in normal time. That's something the men have never achieved. EVER!!!

DoctorTwo · 23/06/2015 12:02

I agree sausage, the first half was incredibly frustrating to watch. That save by Bardsley was worthy of any keeper. And any footballer would be happy to have hit the ball like Lucy Bronze...

sausageeggbacon11 · 23/06/2015 11:39

Scott has to start against Canada, her coming on was the turning point for me in terms of influence and play style. We just looked so much better. I did wonder if the coach was intending that we avoid losing the game for the first 60 minutes and then play to win in the last 30 minutes.

scallopsrgreat · 23/06/2015 00:14

Woo hoo! Just saw the end of it! So pleased!

reni1 · 23/06/2015 00:09

Now do I stay up for USA:Colombia? Would be stupid, but judging on the last few days I probably will

SongToTheMoon · 22/06/2015 23:54

Phew!!!

reni1 · 22/06/2015 23:51

YonicScrewdriver · 22/06/2015 23:50
